In a statement on its Facebook page yesterday, Alliance Steel Sdn Bhd said it would like to apologise on behalf of the company for the action of its personnel
“We at Alliance Steel (M) Sdn Bhd would like to apologise on behalf of the company
“We are looking into the incident seriously and will proceed with an internal investigation as well as take disciplinary action against those involved directly or indirectly,” it said
On Friday, two videos showing three factory employees torturing and killing a black dog went viral on social media
The videos were posted by a user, John Gan, on his Facebook account, saying the incident took place in a factory in Kuantan
In the first video lasting three minutes and 49 seconds, the three workers are seen tying up the dog, which is yelping. It is believed that one of the workers used a hammer on the dog
In the second video lasting 31 seconds, the workers proceed to remove the dog’s internal organs
The incident caused an uproar among social media users who chastised the workers for their cruelty
Alliance Steel said it would educate its workers, especially foreigners, to better understand Malaysia’s norms and culture in line with the motto “In Malaysia, For Malaysia”
Action taken on the incident will be posted on its Facebook page, it said. -FMT
