School Students Rap To Najib S Bossku Tagline
An undated video clip shared by Najib Razak, showing students cheering to the ‘Malu Apa Bossku’ rap song.PETALING JAYA: A performance in a secondary school of a song themed after Najib Razak’s “Bossku” tagline has got social media users mocking the recent unanimous vote in Parliament to lower the voting age
A short video clip of the performance was shared by the former prime minister on his Facebook page, showing four teenage boys rapping the “Malu apa bossku?”
“It was a performance for Teacher’s Day,” he wrote
FMT is withholding the name of the school pending confirmation
The video generated a string of comments from Najib’s Facebook fans
“We should thank PH for lowering the age limit of the voters,” said Facebook user Hazizul Ezzarina
On July 16, the Dewan Rakyat passed a constitutional amendment to lower the voting age in a rare show of unity by MPs from both sides of the political divide
One Najib supporter said the video was a reflection of the youth’s support for the opposition
“I’m afraid that when PH loses the next general election and becomes the opposition, they will ask the government to revert the minimum voting age to 21,” said Abi Asyraf
It is understood that the rap song was originally performed by “MeerFly”, and features Tuju, SoMean, MK I K-Clique
It is one of many songs which have surfaced online since the last general election, taking potshots at the Pakatan Harapan government. This is not the first song to feature the phrase
They include a song revolving around the “Malu Apa Bossku” phrase by “Kalam Biru”, and a rap song titled BBB, short for “Bukan Biashe Biashe”, by “ADK” and “RASH the Warchild”. - FMT
