Reformists Walk The Talk Puad Tells Rafizi On Quitting Cabinet

 Umno’s Puad Zarkashi says PKR No 2 Rafizi Ramli must be both an idealist and a realist, and that his job cannot be just inciting others.

Puad said Rafizi’s various formulas and solutions that he would be able to freely propose as a regular MP would be useless if they cannot be put into practice and implemented.
He said the Pandan MP’s solutions cannot be implemented if he did not have the authority as a minister.
“Now that he has power, he doesn’t want to be a minister,” Puad, an Umno Supreme Council member and Rengit assemblyman, said in a Facebook post.
“That is not what a reformist would say. You must be able to walk the talk.
He must be both an idealist and a realist. His job can’t be just about inciting others.
“Rafizi needs to remain as a minister, and Nurul Izzah Anwar should also become a minister so they can prove themselves.”
On Saturday, Rafizi said he would quit Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s Cabinet if he loses the PKR deputy presidency to Nurul Izzah.
He said it would be a relief if he was no longer part of the Cabinet as it would mean having the freedom to speak out on various issues, citing the reappointment of Azam Baki as head of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission as an example.
Rafizi also said it was tough being a minister as he had many responsibilities to bear. - FMT
