Rafizi S Political Dishonesty On Tok Mat
I TRIED not to laugh at Rafizi Ramli, Anwar Ibrahim and his friends' accusation against Mohamad Hasan, that he was not 'honest' about his RM10 million house in London. What a drainage of campaigning idea to help Dr Streram in Rantau by-election.
Its also a corrupt political topic, so to say.
Maybe its natural to think of elections when we think of political corruption. Like Rafizi, he's just like his friends in PH with their own agendas to skew voting. Amazing!
However, he shouldn't have lingered on 'honesty'. So many backfiring questions may follow. His honesty in PKR and relation with Azmin Ali and others are still topic of conversation. Many want answer on his 'plan of honesty' in the party.
Pakatan Harapan is not being honest in so many things. There are many cover ups to their movement, notably plans to come up with more mega projects amid claims that the country does not have money, and that the rakyat will have to sacrifice for that purpose.
Is PH honest about their GE14 manifesto? Are they being honest about the actual Malaysia's foreign debt? Is it RM1 trillion or the official RM686 billion? How honest are they about plans to sell off some major assets as the only attempt to trim down on our external debt which stood at RM771 billion now?
And how honest is Dr Mahathir about the wealth of his sons? What about the Memali incident and the Forex scandal which their government put a zipper on the dissent voice?
There are many others but its ample to say that Rafizi and Anwar are into political corruption. It isn't just about election rigging or cash handout. More dangerously is by planting a concept of character assassination against Tok Mat.
It's similar to Najib Razak and Zahid Hamid's case. Others too. It is so intense that playing God is part and parcel of PH government now, that anybody produced in court is already guilty. That's their Rule of Law, that's their political domain.
They don't care much if an ethical line has been crossed. Their main objective is for the trust in opposing politician damaged. This political corruption continues unchecked in Pakatan Harapan government.
So, what's the fuss about Tok Mat's wealth? Even a senior journalist put to question Tok Mat's tenure in London, in banks and other companies with how the RM10 million was derived? He failed to realise how he himself bought a property in South Africa after less than 20 years working as a journalist and forming a business entity to take over a publishing group?
There are many people who had worked with banks and large firms during the 70s and 80s managed to buy property locally and abroad. Some corporate figures too have managed to develop their own business empire and hid it from general attention. Up to today, some of our politicians do have property elsewhere without venturing into business. Why didn't Rafizi question them?
Was Lim Guan Eng being honest when he told Rantau electorates last week that the constituency will see ECRL extended to it if PH wins the by-election?
I believe Tok Mat is being honest about it. The house was purchased before he entered politics. Daim was already rich as a corporate man before he was made a Finance Minister by Dr Mahathir. So is Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah. Do you dare question what they bought in Malaysia and oversea?
Be wise in politics. Don't enter into the pool of Benny Hill character!
