Rafizi S Bahlol Remark Comes Back To Bite Him After Sg Bakap Defeat
PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli did not mince his words when addressing critics on the final day of campaigning for the Sungai Bakap by-election after one kept asking him about his "formulas".
He had labelled a naysayer as “bahlol” (moron) and “bodoh” (idiot) while highlighting PKR’s success as a ruling party.
"They asked, you are the king of formula, where is your formula (for winning the by-election)?
“Such a moron. We’re in the middle of the formula, idiot,” the economy minister said during a ceramah on July 5.
However, in the aftermath of Pakatan Harapan’s defeat, his choice of vocabulary has come back to bite him.
Umno Youth chief Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh took a swipe at Rafizi, alluding to PKR’s loss in the by-election.
“The bahlol (moronic) and stupid formula from the king of formulas has brought results in Sungai Bakap,” he sarcastically said on Facebook.
Umno Youth chief Dr Muhamad Akmal SalehAkmal went on to congratulate Sungai Bakap constituents while issuing a reminder to leaders not to be arrogant.
‘Arrogance’
Yesterday, Bersatu leaders said that Perikatan Nasional’s increased majority in the Sungai Bakap by-election win shows people’s rejection of the Madani government due to its arrogance, among other factors.
PN had retained the state seat after its candidate Abidin Ismail defeated Harapan’s Joohari Ariffin with a majority of 4,267 votes - an increase of 1,563 since the previous election.
Sungai Bakap constituents had to go to the polls after its incumbent Nor Zamri Latiff from PAS died on May 24 due to stomach inflammation. - Mkini
