Rafizi Posits Pas Geniuses Purposely Making Errors To Spread Hate

PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli has posited that PAS leaders who wrongly accused DAP lawmakers of being relatives to people they are not, did not do so out of ignorance.
Instead, he said they may have done it simply to spread hate.
"One possibility is that they know that (DAP veteran) Lim Kit Siang is not (ex-Singapore PM) Lee Kuan Yew's cousin, and that (Youth and Sports Minister) Hannah Yeoh is not a descendant of (tycoon) YTL (Yeoh Tiong Lay).
"But they feel that if such sentiments are played, it would fan the flames of racial hatred to the Malays for the sake of political support.
"They may feel this is a genius political strategy, but it indicates that if they hang on to racial hatred to achieve power instead of administrative prowess, the country is going to be damaged," Rafizi (above) said in a video posted on social media today.
The alternative is that such PAS leaders are either lazy to verify information or do not place any importance on knowledge and facts, he added.
Lawsuits ensued
Rafizi was referring to Perak PAS chief Razman Zakaria and Kepala Batas MP Siti Mastura Muhammad.
DAP MP Hannah Yeoh and PAS leader Razman ZakariaTwo weeks ago, Razman claimed that Hannah was the daughter of Tiong Lay.
He has since apologised, but the minister is threatening to sue him.
In November 2023, Siti Mastura claimed in a campaign speech that Kit Siang was Lee’s cousin and also that of former communist leader Chin Peng.
Kepala Batas MP Siti Mastura MuhammadShe further alleged that Seputeh MP Teresa Kok was related to Kit Siang and his son Guan Eng.
Kit Siang, Guan Eng, and Kok successfully sued Siti Mastura for defamation, although she is appealing the outcome. - Mkini
