Rafizi No New Update On Son S Syringe Attack
Former economy minister Rafizi Ramli said there have been no new developments from the police on his son’s Aug 13 assault.
Speaking to Malaysiakini, the Pandan MP said he plans to press the authorities for an update.
“No developments or news from authorities on my son.
“I’ll wait for a while before I bring it up again.”
The former PKR deputy president added that his son has been going for his regular medical check-ups following the attack a month ago, in which he was stabbed with a syringe.
On Aug 22, Inspector-General of Police Khalid Ismail said the police have recorded statements from 19 people, including Rafizi’s family members, in the probe into the daylight shopping mall attack on the 12-year-old boy.

Khalid Ismail“Additionally, police have obtained and are reviewing CCTV footage from the scene of the incident,” Bernama reported him saying in a press conference at the Bukit Aman police headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
Khalid said the police are still awaiting a chemical report from the hospital for details on the fluid that was injected into Rafizi’s son.
Following the attack on his son, who now requires regular medical check-ups to determine the substance injected into him, Rafizi’s wife received a chilling text message that read: “Diam! Andai teruskan, AIDS!” (Shut up! If you continue, AIDS!), punctuated with three syringe emojis.
Farhash denounces link
A week after the assault, Rafizi revealed that he had attended a whistleblower meeting shortly beforehand, concerning Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s former aide, Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak.

Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal MubarakRafizi hinted that the attack may have been a direct consequence of that meeting.
Farhash, however, denied any involvement, dismissing the allegations as “crazy”.
Last month, Rafizi urged the MACC to investigate Farhash after the latter was implicated in a mining scandal in Sabah. - Mkini
