Police Overwhelmed As Mat Rempits Swarm Roadblock In A Video

PEOPLE who watch the videos of Mat Rempits on social media are well aware of the daredevil stunts these irresponsible people perform on the road, flying without wings, or rather flying on wheels.
They live on the road and die on it too. That said, could a simple police roadblock stop these fearless riders? The answer to this question should be an easy one, but we think it is best answered by a video posted by netizen @update11111 who said, “Getting dizzy thinking about who to catch.”
The brief video saw the blockade being swarmed by riders as the police officers tried in vain to stop them. It would seem that they had safety in numbers. One of the officers even threw a cone at the Mat Rempit, but with little effect.

Several netizens could also be seen in the comment section providing tips to better “deal” with the situation. Take it from @PittKF who said if the police wanted to do it the costly way, they could place some spike strips.
“Want it to be easy, put some wood right in the middle of the road,” he said, adding that the bikers will be easily stopped when they collide into a hard object.

Then there was @KamenriderAzzir suggesting they used rubber bullets to stop the riders which were similarly applied to quell protests.

On another note, the appearance of huge Mat Rempit convoys are no longer news. We recall the bikers who went viral for driving against the flow of traffic in Penang sometime back.
Now that we think about it, a good amount of subsidised petrol is being used to power up all these nuisance making machines. Money well spent or perhaps the government could do better? —  Focus Malaysia
