Pm S Political Secretary Booed In Terengganu During Rxz Event

PRIME Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s senior political secretary, Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, was booed by a large crowd during the RXZ Members 7.0 2025 programme at Gong Badak Motorsports Circuit.
Several videos circulating on social media show hecklers interrupting Shamsul’s speech with loud boos and revving motorbike engines to drown out his voice. The crowd grew more disruptive when Shamsul mentioned the government’s additional funding for the programme.
In his announcement, Shamsul revealed that Anwar Ibrahim had allocated an additional RM200,000 to support the RXZ Members 7.0 event.
“The Prime Minister has previously provided RM100,000 in allocation and today I’m representing him to present another RM200,000, for a total of RM300,000,” he said, adding that the additional assistance came from the Prime Minister’s personal efforts together with corporate support.
Shamsul explained that the funding aims to encourage organisers to continue motorsports activities that carry both economic benefits and community-building potential.
The incident sparked online reactions, including from PKR member Iswardy Morni, who criticised the decision to allocate funds in Terengganu.
“PMX, enough already with giving money for the RXZ programme in the ‘walaun’ state. It’s embarrassing to be booed.. ” he said.
“Next time, give it to Selangor, Penang, or Sarawak. Why give it to Terengganu? Foolish political secretary. Do you think the ‘walaun’ will be grateful when you give money?” Iswardy wrote on his social media account. — Focus Malaysia
