Pm S Aide Hadi S Remark At Muktamar Doesn T Reflect True Islamic Values
The statement by PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang at the 69th PAS Muktamar yesterday regarding the Madani government does not reflect him as a religious man with true Islamic values, said the prime minister’s political secretary Ahmad Farhan Fauzi.
He expressed disappointment over Hadi’s statement, which he said implied that the government could not be “purified” because it is led by a bad leader.
Farhan (above) said as a religious person, Hadi should preach the values of togetherness, unity and brotherhood.
"I am of the opinion that to be in politics, one has to exercise moderation and not divide the people, slander and pit them against each other," he said in a statement today.
Farhan said he hoped this would be a lesson to all parties, the need to be moderate in politics and not belittle parties with different ideologies.
PAS president Abdul Hadi AwangMeanwhile, PKR Youth also lashed out at Hadi for issuing such a statement as it demeaned the Pakatan Harapan coalition.
The movement, in a statement today, said the offensive name-calling was not the first by the PAS leadership.
“It has in fact become one of his favourite labels to use on the prime minister.
"It has been fated that our prime minister is one of the people who was tested with accusations and slander to the extent that he was imprisoned in his struggle before he rose to helm the country,” it said and advised Hadi to have a self-reflection.
