Pm Meets Kelantan Religious Teachers For Talks On Unity Ending Hatred

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim met with Kelantan religious teachers earlier today to discuss Islamic issues and the need to foster unity by eliminating hatred.
Anwar’s senior press secretary Tunku Nashrul Abaidah said the delegation from pondok and Islamic religious schools in Kelantan shared insight and advice on promoting unity, understanding, compassion and patience within the Islamic community.
Besides urging the prime minister to address the harmful impacts of hatred, the teachers also expressed the need for enthusiastic communication regarding the government’s Madani initiative to the rakyat on Islamic matters.
They also advocated for the preservation of traditional Islamic education and the strengthening of pondok institutions in Malaysia.
Anwar Ibrahim’s senior press secretary Tunku Nashrul AbaidahSpeaking during the Prime Minister’s Office daily briefing today, Nashrul added that the discussion included an agreement that many aspects of Islam can be unified, rather than focusing on differences.
He said the prime minister also highlighted communication developments and his good ties with Kelantan Menteri Besar Nassuruddin Daud.
On PM’s invitation
Anwar’s meeting with the delegation earlier today followed their participation in an iftar event at the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque in Putrajaya last night.
Nashrul said the group attended the meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office on Anwar’s invitation, with the prime minister using the opportunity to stress the importance of strengthening Islamic policies, particularly in education.
Anwar also outlined several government initiatives aimed at empowering and building resilience within the Muslim community.
“The prime minister hopes that this meeting can be repeated in the future and he welcomes such dialogues.
“(Anwar) greatly appreciated the thoughts and advice from the teachers expressed during this meeting and believes they were conveyed in the interest of the rakyat and the nation,” Nashrul added. - Mkini
