Passengers Frustrated As Aeroline Forced To Move Stops To Tbs

KUALA LUMPUR: Frustration is mounting among loyal Aeroline passengers after the popular coach service was instructed to relocate its city-centre stops to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) — a move widely criticised for being inconvenient and which could see the service suspended for a month.
The directive, issued by the Land Public Transport Agency (Apad), will result in Aeroline temporarily halting all scheduled trips from Nov 6 to Dec 5.
Aeroline said that the suspension followed its refusal to move from its established service points at Corus KLCC, 1 Utama, and Sunway Pyramid.
Passengers expressed their dismay on Aeroline's Facebook page, highlighting the convenience of the current city-centre locations.
Rom Omar stressed the practicality of the central drop-offs and appealed for the government to lift the suspension promptly.
"Hopefully the government will lift the suspension as soon as possible and allow Aeroline to continue its excellent service for the many passengers visiting Malaysia. The drop-off location is so convenient, right in the heart of KL city and near hotels," he said.
Wee Chee Ong described Aeroline as his "favourite coach service," praising the direct access to KLCC.
"Team Aeroline is definitely my favourite from SG/JB to KL, where we arrive at KLCC directly and conveniently. Apad, wake up — we need a stop near the heart of the city, but TBS is not a viable option," he added.
Looi Swann Tinng suggested Aeroline conduct a customer survey and submit the results to Apad to support their case.
"Aeroline is my family's favourite bus company. May I propose they survey customers, collect the results, and submit them to Apad to appeal? I'm sure all customers would be willing to participate," she commented.
Naim Azwan praised Aeroline's safety record: "No speeding and zero casualties. It's always the bus I take when travelling to Penang."
James Leong, a regular passenger to Penang and Singapore, also commended Aeroline's attentive drivers and courteous staff, urging authorities to allow the company to maintain its existing pick-up points.
"Their service is among the best, if not the best. Careful drivers and well-mannered staff at both ticketing and on board. Their pick-up points — Corus Hotel, 1U, Sunway — are convenient and safe. I urge the authorities to let them continue using these points. Many other passengers would surely agree," he said.
The suspension has left many travellers concerned about potential disruptions, particularly those who rely on Aeroline for safe and convenient journeys between Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Singapore. - NST
