Pas Nik Abduh S Voice Recording Taken Out Of Context
PAS has confirmed that the audio recording of a person commenting on the issue of PAS receiving funds from Umno was that of Bachok MP Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz.
(FMT) – PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan said Nik Abduh himself had admitted this but the recording was not the entire conversation.
“He said it did not show the actual context. It was not just about PAS receiving money from Umno; there were other things.
“In order to understand the context of the audio recording, we have to listen from the first minute until the end. Only then will we understand everything,” Bernama quoted Takiyuddin as saying today after an event in Kubang Kerian, Kelantan.
t was reported last year that Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle-Brown had produced an audio recording to back her allegation that PAS leaders took RM90 million linked to 1MDB from Umno.
The issue of the audio recording arose before the 14th general election but Nik Abduh brushed it aside as nonsensical and lies.
It resurfaced again when PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang decided to settle out of court his suit against Rewcastle-Brown over the allegations on Feb 2.
On a separate matter, Takiyuddin said PAS would not field a candidate in the Semenyih by-election to make way for other opposition parties, including Barisan Nasional.
“We want to create opposition solidarity in our country, including in Selangor,” he said.
He added that the political collaboration between PAS and Umno was for the good of Islam, the Malays and unity of the people and would continue until the 15th general election.
