Our Real Boss Sebenarnya Bank Ya Bank
Looking at my CCRIS report—perfect. Should I be proud after all these years? Saw the total and thought: Wow, when will this ever end? Rasa macam kerja ni cuma untuk bayar bil je, kan? Don't get me started on other commitment—panjang cerita nanti.
Ayah pernah cakap, and I quote: "Bank ni sebenarnya Ah Long, cuma berlesen." 🏦 It sounded wild and funny then—but stay with me. Think about it: banks have cleverly designed debt products that keep us pekerja setia for a long, long, long time.
Contoh:
Bank tak buat rumah. Bank cuma “bantu” kita beli (and “bantu” pemaju buat rumah by offering them project financing, Sukuk, Wakalah, yada yada). And how do we buy them? Dengan pinjaman banklah. They fund both sides. The system is efficient—but it also ensures banks profit at every stage. 🙄We commit to pay these loans for decades—20, 30, even 40 years. Beli rumah masa umur 25 tahun? Habis bayar waktu pencen; age 60.Setiap bulan, peratus terbesar gaji kita adalah untuk rumah. Kalau lambat? Penalti. With online banking and AI, human labor is becoming obsolete on their end—but they still need us to keep paying, religiously.
Sekejap, meh kira:
Harga rumah: RM156,730 (termasuk MRTT)
Komitmen bulanan: RM753 (Dah 4 kali IBR/OPR naik sejak meminjam)
Assuming it's a fixed rate (walaupun sebenarnya tidak), let's do the math:
RM753 × 12 months × 35 years = ~RM316,260
Lebihan bayar kepada bank? ~RM159,530.We end up paying almost double. Tu dah boleh beli dua rumah, Tuan-Puan.
While we hustle at our jobs, banks quietly grow kaya, raya dan berjaya—thanks to our consistent, long-term payments. Can’t pay? They simply take back what’s theirs. It’s a system that works… for them.

So what now? Pokoknya—kita yang kena bijak.
Don’t let this become an invisible golden chain that dictates your entire life.
Why golden? Because we feel free.
Free to choose a career—but needing to service long-term debt shapes our career path, risk tolerance, even our life choices. Ini semua ilusi.
It creates a baseline income requirement that stops us from taking bold leaps—starting a business, exploring unconventional but fulfilling paths. It's a quiet force that keeps us in the rat race.
And this is just about banks. We haven’t even touched on how systems like finance, technology, and society are building invisible fences around our potential. 💵💰
This whole bebelan? It's a reminder—first to myself, then to anyone listening:
Fahamkan kos sebenar “meminjam.”
Make choices that serve your future, not just the bank’s profit margin.
Dunia berubah cepat—don’t be a passive passenger.
Kurangkan hutang. Bayar lebih. Cakna ilmu kewangan.
Jangan ikut trend membabi buta.
And finally—it's not about avoiding banks.
It’s about being an informed player in the game.
Maybe start by going through all your bank or loan letters.
Build your own payment schedule.
Come on, everything’s AI now—tak bijak pun boleh jadi bijak within 5 seconds 😉
Till then—salam.
