Not All Heroes Wear Capes Some Work At The Petrol Station In Johor Bahru

WE Malaysians take pride in many things. Good food. Subsidised petrol. Definitely subsidised petrol.
In fact, the price of our subsidised petrol is so good that our dear Singaporean neighbours would run over to Johor just to have their tanks filled.
Therefore it comes as no surprise when a number of foreign nationals, sneaky ones too, would use the yellow pump when they come over to Boleh Land for a visit.
Can our national pride allow these invaders to take what belongs to the good people of Malaysia?
Say that to a spunky worker at a Shell station at Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru, who did us proud by denying a Singaporean use of our subsidised petrol.
The unnamed hero has since gained the approval of the many local netizens who cheered him on.

Others pointed out the Singaporean who seemed to show no remorse over her action, but instead pretended as though something weird had occurred.

Netizen Azmir Azrik also wondered why Singapore did not change their number plate as it makes it easy for people to detect.
However, Cherry said that in Johor, they continued to use the yellow pump regardless even though she had honked them repeatedly.

Then there was netizen M who raised a pertinent point, that Sabah number plates were similar to Singapore.

Eixza added that this was something every petrol station in Malaysia should normalise. That means training the staff to press the emergency stop button at the pump to stop them abruptly.
“Also, they should place a written notice near each nozzle like what Petronas has done alongside the blacklisting and viraling of the foreign car plates owners who were stubborn.
However, Ezaiedi Shariff II pointed out that these foreign nationals could park their cars a distance away and use a barrel instead.
We are uncertain if this was a real suggestion or merely a joke because anyone could tell that filling up a barrel with petrol is not going to go unnoticed.
As a closing note and to the foreigners who have a habit of filling up their tanks with the yellow pump, please stop doing so. Malaysia’s natural resources has been plundered for far too long. Ask the British.
And to the capeless hero at the Shell station at Taman Pelangi, you are the rainbow that shines above the metaphorical dark cloud formed by the greedy people who exploit our subsidies.— Focus Malaysia
