New Year For The Oppressed

NO New Year's day to celebrate. Not because BN or Umno is no longer in power but millions of Malaysians who are being deprived of a better living under the new government. They are the oppressed ones!

Sad to note how lies are still applied to cover the whole truth about the weaknesses of this regime. How cunning they are to sweep the dirt under the translucent carpet is agonising the people.

Since taking over Putrajaya on May 9, the rakyat's HARAPAN for a better future looks bleak. So many U-turns and so many excuses.

Just go to any Kedai RM2 in the country. People from all walks of life throng it. No longer can they afford a little bit of comfort in their expenditure. Even the rich have to tighten up their belts now.

There's no certainty that the economic drama will go on. While LGE says the economic indicators are pointing to a prosperous Malaysia, the World Bank and the International Money Fund say otherwise.

Maybe its a coincidence that the world's economy is taking a downturn. Maybe... but we don't have that resistance mechanism to weather off the adverse impact. Some countries (even the poor ones) are less impacted by the slowdown because they applied such a mechanism.

I don't wish to lecture the government on economy because they have many experts who can provide the piece of advice of what should and should not be done. But let me remind them that the people are watching.

Lets touch a little bit on the Malay agenda, which was among the hot topics at the just concluded PPBM AGM. I feel like laughing!

Why? They still put it high on agenda. Where was the 22 years when Dr M was the fourth PM? What was achieved over the long period? Not enough time? Have another 22 years then!

The other parties don't like it. Their partners in PH would feel dejected for having to hear the same old story every year. Malays and Bumiputeras. What did you do back then? Building up legacy for the rich and famous? Giving monopoly to your cronies?

Aaahhh.... its what Umno has been doing. Now that you want to ride on the issue, suit yourself, and you will end up shooting at your own feet.

I am flabergasted with the fact that the government is cheating the people with its politically-orchestrated manouvre. Black school shoes, no more AIM, flip-flop on toll and PTPTN, etc.

But you want that Crooked Bridge again. Another legacy, I suppose!

What exactly did Dr M write in his time capsule buried at the mall in 1987. Did he forsee the demise of Umno during that time, which prompted him to say that the party is no longer exist?

Was his prophecy about Umno's demise lead him to continuously being insistent that the party must close shop? The time capsule was to be opened on May 31 2018 but it never happened.

Be factual, do tell the truth about the economy and other developments. Yes, sorry seems to be the hardest word but being great pretenders do not augur well to the people. Its not fair!

The New Year celebration is for you. Its not for us because its getting difficult to make ends meet...
