Najib S Son Nizar Denies Meeting Pn Leaders To Topple Pahang Govt
Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak’s son Mohd Nizar has denied meeting opposition representatives to discuss toppling the Pahang state government.
The Peramu Jaya assemblyperson said he would remain loyal to Umno and BN.
“I strictly deny claims that I met with opposition leaders to topple the Pahang state government. The fictional meeting did not take place at all.
“My father (Najib) always told us to be loyal to the party no matter how difficult the situation.
“How then is it possible for me to conspire to betray the party that my family fought for together with other Umno people since it was established,” Nizar (above) said in a statement this morning.
The state Investment, Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation Committee chairperson was responding to a viral poster on social media claiming that the state administration was shaky and was set to be replaced with a new government.
The poster claimed this was after “Bossku’s (Najib) son (Nizar) met with Perikatan Nasional leaders.”
Nizar said he would not betray the Pahang state government led by Menteri Besar Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, whom he deeply respects.
“He (Wan Rosdy) has helped my constituents a lot. He’s a kind, approachable leader. I would never betray his trust.
“I’m not a political ‘frog’ who mortgages principles and dignity to ‘sell’ myself to the highest bidder. Stop spreading slander for cheap political gain,” the Pekan Umno chief said.
“The message is clear. I will remain loyal to Umno/BN and the state government of the day,” he added. - Mkini
