PETALING JAYA: Users will now be able to see the progress of their vaccine registration process on the MySejahtera app after a recent user interface (UI) update.
According to the Coordinating Minister for Covid-19 Immunisation Khairy Jamaluddin in a Twitter post, the UI update will be shown to those who have registered and there is no need to send in another registration. He said that users just have to wait for the new UI to be reflected on their app.
“Wait for the push. Don’t register again. For those that did & see later date of registration, rest assured we have record of your first try. Appointments given based on the first time you registered,” he said.
In subsequent replies to other users on Twitter, Khairy said users should be able to see the new UI starting today and there is also no need to update the app. He added that vaccine appointments will be given based on first registration and assured users that the back end process has recorded their interests.
In a reply to Bangi MP Ong Kian Ming, Khairy said users will be also able to register dependents such as family members in a later update. He added that both the user and registered dependent will be given the same vaccination appointment date.
Users will be able to see the new progress page on the MySejahtera app by clicking on the Covid-19 Vaccination Icon on the home screen and then select the Vaccine For option, which is the first option on the page.
The new progress page will show a checkmark indicating that users have registered for Covid-19 vaccination along with other details that will only be confirmed once the vaccination date nears such as eligibility, first dose appointment and completion of vaccination process.
The Vaccine Registration module was first made available on the MySejahtera app on Feb 23.
Apart from MySejahtera, Malaysians will also be able to register for the vaccine through four other methods namely a soon-to-be-launched hotline, the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee (JKJAV) official website, outreach programmes at rural/interior areas, and at public and private healthcare facilities.
Those who have registered will received appointment details via the MySejahtera app, or a phone call or SMS.
As of March 3, more than 1.7 million people have registered to receive Covid-19 vaccination in Malaysia, according to stats by the JKJAV. - Star
