My 8 8 Haul Talking About Impulse Buying
Last month, my shopping cart was overflowing, and this month wasn't much different. While the haul wasn't as massive, I definitely had a few moments of "impulse buying" mixed with a heavy dose of "I totally need this, right?"
8.8 Shopping Spree Haul

1. The Awkward But Necessary Talk
Book: Saya Sudah Baligh. Episod Baru Hidupku by Telaga Biru (RM17.89)
My boys, Adam and Iman, are reaching that age. The one where you have to have "the talk." As any parent knows, this is when "the talk" becomes a necessity. They've already covered some of the basics in their sekolah agama (read: munakahat), but a mother's (and father's) guidance is still crucial. I bought this book for them to read first, hoping it would be a gentle, non-awkward starting point. It's a must-do conversation, and I believe this book will help lay the groundwork before I dive into the details.
2. The Quest for a Signature Home Scent
Products: Air Wick & Scentify Fragrances (RM44.79 and RM27.39)
I'm on a mission to find my home's signature scent. While I'd love to splurge on a Young Living diffuser, I'm waiting for my tabung to be full. For now, these Air Wick and Scentify products are doing the job. I love the idea of my home having its own unique fragrance—it makes the space feel more welcoming and personal.
3. My Kitchen's New BFF
Product: Sudee Dry Paste (RM57.06)
Okay, I’m a total convert. I’ve raved about these pastes before here: Sudee Dry Paste Haul Dekat Shopee, and I’m doing it again. This time, I stocked up on my favorites and decided to try some new ones, like the Hainan Chicken Rice and Green Curry flavors. These pastes are a game-changer for a busy mom like me. They're delicious, fast, and have officially become a staple in my kitchen.
4. Saving My Back, One Cushion at a Time
Product: Seat Cushion and Lumbar Support Pillow (RM35.30)
My back and hips are slowly but surely killing me. My office chair is ergonomic, but it’s just not the right fit for me. It’s either my feet don’t touch the floor or the desk is too high. Since I can’t exactly ask for an adjustable desk, I decided to give this highly-reviewed, budget-friendly cushion a try. I’m hoping it’s the solution to my pain, because working a sedentary job while feeling this uncomfortable is not a good combo.
5. Hits, Misses, and Mom-Life Problems
FN Herbal Aromatherapy Stick by Sunnahloka (RM31.80): I did a review on this here!Brooch (RM10.90): A girl can never have too many.
Kids' Book Set (RM25.80): Yeah, Dah Solat! by Pakcik Bad. Because you can never have enough books that encourage good habits.
Imba Wangi Laundry Detergent (RM26.09): I was lured in by the Melon and Strawberry scents. They smell great, but I have to be honest, the scent doesn't last as long as the ad claims. But hey, it cleans well, and my laundry doesn't smell musty even when I dry it indoors. So, it’s a decent option, just not a forever kind of love.
Pillows for the Kids (RM44.96): This is a recurring purchase. I'm constantly battling with my kids' body odor and the lingering smell on their bedding. Even with daily Febreze and weekly cleaning, the smell persists. I've learned that buying affordable pillows every 3-4 months is a practical solution. The old ones get tossed, and new ones come in. I'm still looking for a safe, kid-friendly deodorant or body odor eliminator. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! It's stressful for a mom to deal with that "egg smell" when the kids come home from school.
Jurnal 40 Hari Hijrah (RM32.88): I bought this for a friend. I have one myself and it's so practical and helpful for self-reflection. I love it so much that I regret not buying more when it was on sale for just RM25!
The Damage Report
Total for this haul: RM354.86, as of now 😌
