Dulu, ramai akan mula menutup jeragat atau bintik hitam di wajah mereka dengan concealer atau memakai mekap tebal supaya tidak kelihatan. Malu dengan wajah yang berbintik dan tidak sekata seperti wanita lain. Jeragat bukanlah penyakit yang memberi kesan negatif tetapi kesannya boleh mengakibatkan ketidakyakinan diri.
 
Low self esteem.
 
Tetapi dunia hari ini nampaknya sudah berubah, syarikat-syarikat besar mula mengambil model dengan wajah berjeragat sebagai model mereka. Walaupun berjeragat, wajah mereka tetap cantik, bersih dan berseri. Mungkin atas faktor ini, mereka dijadikan pilihan.
 
Kita tidak mampu mengatasi setiap masalah jeragat kerana jeragat tidak mudah hilang. Walaupun dengan rawatan laser, jeragat tetap mampu kembali khususnya jika mereka ini mempunyai masalah jeragat akibat keturunan, pigmentasi berlebihan, hormon dan sangat sensitif kepada radiasi cahaya matahari. Malah, sesetengah penyakit juga boleh mengakibatkan terjadinya bintik-bintik hitam ini tidak hilang. Namun, usah risau jika anda bukan berpenyakit kronik, jeragat boleh dihilangkan cuma ia mengambil sedikit masa. Remember, no pain no gain

Adwoa Aboah 
The 25 year old British model was chosen as Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards 2017. The tomboy-looking and shaved model, who has both of her parents in the fashion industry, has walked for a lot of prestigious brands. But she really entered the minds last year, after she did the cover of Vogue UK.

 
Aleece Wilson Aleece Wilson is another freckled model, who got signed at Elite Model Toronto. The funny story is that she met Carissa Pinkston (previous model presented) on Instagram, and they ended up realizing they actually have the same parents! So these two very look-a-like freckled models discovered this past summer that they were actually sisters.
She walked several shows of famous brands, such as Marc Jacobs or Alexander Wang.

 
Carissa Pinkston Another model noticed this year, Carissa, 18 years old from Pennsylvania. Her green eyes and freckles give her a unique look, that brought her to walk for Marc Jacobs’ Spring/Summer 2018 Collection at the New York Fashion Week. She is currently signed at Elite Model Management.

 
Danielle Lashley  Danielle, 21 year old, was scouted at a Justin Bieber’s concert in London, after what she was signed at Next Models Management, two years ago. This new face met the public during her first catwalk for Louis Vuitton’s autumn/winter 2017 collection at the Paris Fashion Week. She wears natural freckles on her pretty and innocent face. After that, she walked for several brands, such as Paco Rabanne, Chloe, Versus Versace or Kenzo.

 
 
 
Maeva Giani Marshall Maeva is a 23 year old model who was revealed during the Zadig et Voltaire show at the New York Fashion Week. You notice that on her most recent pictures, she has more and more freckles, which attracts her Instagram followers´ attention regarding whether or not her freckles are fake. She replied to these comments saying that she is suffering from hyper pigmentation, due to kidney issues she had in the past. These freckles are surrounding her eyes and cheeks. At the moment, she is signed at Heroes Model in New York.

 
Salem Mitchell Salem is a 19 year old model based in Los Angeles. She was revealed last year thanks to her “banana selfies” she posted on her Twitter. People were actually making fun of her freckles, but it turned out she became a model signed at Ford Models agency.

 
Kokie Childers Kokie Childers, a 21-year-old senior at St. John’s University in Queens also discovered a newfound audience on Instagram, after getting scouted two years ago for an Afropunk photo portfolio featuring freckled people of color. She owes her cloud of tightly coiled hair and caramel skin to her mother from Suriname and Guyana; her late father—a Californian of European lineage, with red hair in the family—gave her the freckles. “Little kids used to stare at me and whisper, ‘What’s on her face?’ ” recalls Childers, “but I feel like the downsides and the positive sides all play into one.” But even as she embraces her freckles (“I don’t even own foundation and concealer, to be honest”), she has become careful about the sun’s damaging UV rays. “I used to think that because I was black, I didn’t need sunscreen. I’ve realized how important it is to wear SPF.”
