March For Justice Urges Action In Indira Gandhi Case As Court Orders Wider Search

SUPPORTERS gathered outside Sogo in Kuala Lumpur as M Indira Gandhi renewed her 16-year effort to find her missing daughter Prasana Diksa. The “March for Justice” opened with short speeches before Indira, joined by her adult children, began the walk to Bukit Aman.
“This is a mother pleading to get my own daughter,” she said. “Is it so difficult to find my daughter? We have a very good police force.”
The renewed push followed claims that Prasana’s father Muhammad Riduan Abdullah remained in Malaysia. According to reports, he had received government aid despite long-standing assertions that he was abroad. Riduan allegedly abducted Prasana in 2009 during a custody dispute after unilaterally converting the children.
Activists and lawmakers joined the march. Indira Gandhi Action Team chief Arun Dorasamy said Indira was “exhausted” after years of stalled proceedings. Deputy Law Minister M Kulasegaran, attending as an MP, asked, “If the guy can use his IC, where is he?”
Former law minister Datuk Zaid Ibrahim said the case persisted because “mother-and-child issues are not seen as serious” when tied to religious disputes.
Indira and her children led the march by pushing Prasana’s old stroller carrying the girl’s teddy bear as a symbolic reminder.
Earlier, the Ipoh High Court ordered police to widen the search for Riduan.
Judge Norsharidah Awang told investigators not to focus only on Kelantan but to search nationwide. Police confirmed probes were ongoing, including tracking the use of Budi95 and Sumbangan Asas Rahmah aid linked to Riduan. — Focus Malaysia
