Mahathir Vs Maduro
He is my prime minister. Yes, Dr M is our prime minister. No doubt about it.
But I hope he is a fair man, a man with dignity and in full command for the good course. He doesn't have the judiciary in is hand, he doesn't dictate the MACC, the police, the Election Commission and others.
He just places his guys around. His Pakatan government is a mixed political entity, agree? That's why he puts a DAP man in finance, Amanah in defence and PKR as his deputy. That's exactly what BN did when they were in power.
But not at all levels of administration, please!
Don't become another Venezuela's Maduro. Report says he controls everything, including shutting the mouths of his dissents. So many are arrested, brought to the court, slapped with multiple counts of 'betrayal' acts. Some were prosecuted, some went missing.
Its unlike here, isn't it?
The opposition leaders in Malaysia are a happy lot. The people are jovial for all the U-turn and flip-flop policies. The students are alright with PTPTN, the settlers are satisfied and the poor single mothers are equally happy when AIM is scrapped.
Not to mention toll collection, Malaysians are in general approve it. Their just want ensure that the government has more money and the economy is vibrant enough to plan future projects for the rich and famous.
Maduro is different. Many Latin America governments and Canada are applying pressure on him to cede power. The fact that he is corrupt and very much despise by the peoples, has prompted such calls by neighbouring countries.
However, there is no pressure whatsoever for Dr M to step down. He's doing just fine... so fine that nobody dares to challenge him!
No need for me to say more... let others...
