Kimanis Another Disaster For Pakatan

BARISAN Nasional candidate from UMNO Mohamad Alamin (left) defeated Warisan's Karim Bujang with a thumping majority of 2,029 votes compared to 156 (Warisan) in the 14th general election. BN garnered 12,706 votes to Warisan's 10,677.

The fifth consecutive victory after Cameron Highlands, Semenyih, Rantau and Tanjung Piai is a demonstration by the rakyat towards the Pakatan Harapan central government, which Warisan boss Shafie Apdal supports. It is also sweet for incumbent Anifah Aman whose victory was nullified by biased Election Commission Court.

It's also puts UMNO president Zahid Hamidi, Sabah UMNO chief Bong Raden Mokhtar and Rahman Dahalan, BN and PAS on cloud nine as their Muafakat Nasional (Muafakat Sabah for Kimanis by-election) has gone deeper into the people's heart. BN whom PH leaders, especially Dr Mahathir has predicted 'political calamity' after GE14 is now closing in on them.

If the 15th general election is called now or a bit later, PH will eventually become a one-term government. I am positive about it.

Zahid, whom with Hadi Awang of PAS spearheaded the Penyatuan Ummah on Sept 14, 2019 are giving Dr M, Lim Kit Siang, Guan Eng and the rest of PH leaders feeling the earth move under them. In Tanjung Piai on November 16th last year, PH didnt expected that they would be mulled by a majority 15,086 votes by MCA.

What does this implies? That the people are more aware of PH lies and tricks. For istance, it as only a few days ago when Putrajaya tried to influence Kimanis voters that there were keeping their promises of abolishing toll by reducing it by 18 per cent. At the same time, the people identified the announcement to be full of tricks when they extended the toll collections by another 20 years when it was suppose to end in 2038.

I noticed that the people are more educated and getting more calculative when it comes to PH undelivered promises. Guan Eng still comes up with orchestrated economic indexes while some of PH ministers introduced unbelievable projects and policies.

The people realised that they are being dodged by the government when their cost of living spiraled rapidly, making it difficult to make ends meet. Many people-oriented programs introduced by the BN government are now going ashes, forcing more than half of the rakyat to embark on belt-tightening efforts.

And where is Kit Siang, whose blubber mouth had said that Kimanis would be the end of Bossku? He better get ready to be dumped by Dr M or by BN soon. Rumors are that DAP will end up on the Opposition bench again, the most suitable position for them since their inception into the Cabinet is troublesome.

The message is loud and clear - that PH can never find solace in the people anymore. In fact, they are their No. 1 enemy for wasting the trust given in the last general election. They want to go back to where they once belonged, and BN is still there for them, in a stronger outfit.

Zahid and the rest can have a good sleep, at least for a while since I predict more by-elections in the near term. Let him navigate Muafakat Nasional with his deputy Mohamad Hasan, partners in BN and PAS. Limited sources do not halt them from registering more victories but its actually for PH to ponder now.

Warisan or PH may shower the constituents with money and other goodies. Surely they will take it at difficult times like this but their blase for the government is translated to a big NO at the polling centers.
