However, Ahmad said he would ensure that he gets enough rest before receiving the vaccination.
"I admit that l was warded a day after receiving my first jab but it was not due to the side effects of the vaccination.
"I had a minor pain on my shoulder and was brought to the hospital for a normal medical check-up."At the same time, doctors told me to get enough rest. I am ready for the second dose and hopefully, you (local press) too," he said.
Ahmad who is also Pasir Pekan assemblyman said the public should not fear the injection as it is like any other normal jab they receive at hospitals.
"It is not really painful..less than the pain we get after being bitten by an ant," he said.
Meanwhile, state health director Datuk Dr Zaini Hussin said the Menteri Besar would be among more than 1,000 individuals who are expected to receive their second dose on March 23.

"Besides the Menteri Besar, the others who will get their second jabs include frontliners. The programme will be held at the same venue which is the Darulnaim Complex," he said when met at his office today.
Dr Zaini said there was slow response from the public to register for the vaccination via the Mysejahtera mobile application.
"The state health department is targetting about 70 per cent of the 1.9 million state population to register via the application but so far, there is not enough awareness," he added. - NST
