Kelantan Man Is Rm1 Million Richer And Finds Relatives Ex Es He Never Knew Existed
NSTP file picKUALA LUMPUR: It is a different kind of Saturday for a 21-year-old from Kelantan who was informed that he had bagged over RM1 million by winning the Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) SSP lucky draw, of which his triumph as the youngest winner made headlines this morning.
The winner, however, was not only showered by blessings of good fortune, he suddenly found 'long-lost relatives' as well as old flames who came a-knocking on the comment section of Harian Metro's Facebook post.
The winner, who was not named by the bank management due to security, was everybody's favourite person in Malaysia today.
"Thank goodness for this news, Harian Metro.. if not for this news, I'll remain separated with my foster brother.. congratulations adik for winning RM1 million (Nasib Harian Metro habaq.. kalau tak, sampai sekarang saya terpisah dengan adik angkat saya ni.. tahniah adik menang 1 juta)," Apit Mohamad Khanafe commented.
"After 21 years of separation, finally we get to be reunited.. we are siblings, with different father and mother.. thank you BSN (Sudah 21 tahun kami terpisah akhirnya bertemu juga.. kami ni adik beradik lain bapak lain mak.. terima kasih BSN)," said Dainese Kajang.
"Muhammad Idham, is this the brother you spoke of before? We lost him because they say he took the rocket to the moon.. turns out he's been in Kelantan all along (Adik hang yang ni ka hang cerita dulu.. hilang jejak pasal naik roket pi bulan.. rupa rupanya dia dok Kelantan)," said Facebook user, Mohd Rahimi Hashim.
"Everyone is saying they're related in the comments section.. please don't believe them, dik.. those are all lies.. I am your sister, dik.. remember how we always used to fight over Kinder Joy when we were kids? (Scroll komen semua mengaku saudara.. jangan percaya dik, itu semua tipu daya dunia.. ini akak kau dik, ingat tak masa kecik dulu kita selalu berebut Kinder Joy?)
"Of course you won't remember, because I was just bluffing.. there was no Kinder Joy during those times.. except for Boy Iman.. (Mesti adik tak ingat sebab akak tipu je, zaman tu Kinder Joy tak wujud lagi.. Yang wujud Boy Iman je)," chimes in Farah Aziz.
"I'm sorry I rejected you back then because of our age difference. Can you take me back? We make a fresh start," wrote Lienda Haslienda.
Some Facebook users took it to the comment sections to reminisce their experience in opening up their savings account with the bank.
"Wow… congratulations adik, your paklong has been saving up with SSP for 22 years.. I've never won a pen, not even a piece of paper. (Wah.. tahniah dik, paklong hang dah 22 tahun simpan SSP.. jangan kata pen, kertas pun tak pernah dapat)," Mohd Hairi Mharryz remarked.
The post has entertained over 8,000 Facebook users today, garnering over 1,300 comments on the platform.
The most loved 21-year old broke the record as the youngest winner to have won RM1 million through the contest since it was introduced in 2014.
Apart from him, BSN also announced 13 other lucky winners who each won a 1.5 Auto Perodua Myvi.
The lucky draw contest is open for participation throughout February, May, August and November this year.
BSN SSP account holders with a minimum of RM100 in their savings accounts are eligible to join the contest. - NST
