Kelantan Govt Open To Collaboration With Federal Govt For People S Welfare
The state government is committed to fostering a mature and prosperous political culture and is always open to collaborating with the federal government to benefit its people, regardless of political differences.
(NST) – Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud said this in line with its principle of ‘Developing Together with Islam’ which is the basis of the state administration.
“We believe that the spirit of federalism must always be upheld in ensuring that the people’s welfare continues to be prioritised.
“It is the key to continuous development and for the well-being of the people,” he said in a Facebook post.
Mohd Nassuruddin also thanked Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar for his visit to Kelantan yesterday.
“I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for his working visit to the state in conjunction with his receiving an award from the Sultan of Kelantan,Sultan Muhammad V.
“The state government welcomes several announcements made including the continued implementation of flood mitigation projects, clean water supply and addressing the water supply problems faced by the farmers.
“We would like to thank him for the allocation of the Sultan Kelantan Darul Naim Foundation Dialysis Centre project amounting to RM8 million and the upgrading works of the Siti Khadijah wet market at the cost of RM5.5 million,” he added.
Yesterday, Anwar had announced an RM5.5 million allocation for upgrading works at the Siti Khadijah wet market.
He said the funds would be used to repair the market’s toilets, roofs, and electrical wiring.
During a meet-and-greet session with traders at the market, Anwar noted that the federal government had previously allocated approximately RM1.5 million for repair works.
