Jeju Island Day 2
Assalamualaikum ♥
Day 2 - 13.02.2019 (Wednesday)
1. SEONGSAN ILCHUBONG (+82-64-783-0959) - 5 mins from Co-op city hotel, 30-40 mins hiking
Good morning from Jejuuu! Untuk hari ke-2 ni kami mulakan journey dengan morning walk di Seongsan ilchubong, also known as 'Sunrise Peak'. Actually tak walk sangat la. Kena hiking oii. hahaha. Sis and husband decide untuk jalan kaki je daripada hotel. Sebab dah dekat sangat pon. Kentut pon dengar (ok, tipu)
View from bilik. Tenyeh2 mata dah nampak ni. Macam takmau balik Malaysia (sis melampau)
💗 Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak rose from under the sea in a volcanic eruption over 100,000 years ago. Located on the eastern end of Jejudo Island, there is a huge crater at the top of Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. The crater is about 600m in diameter and 90m high. With the 99 sharp rocks surrounding the crater, it looks like a gigantic crown. While the southeast and north sides are cliffs, the northwest side is a verdant grassy hill that is connected to the Seongsan Village. The ridge provides an ideal spot for walks and for horse riding as well. The sunrise from the crater is magnificent. Also the Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak surrounded by bright yellow colored canola flowers in the spring is truly a sight to behold. [Source: VisitKorea Website]
Parking lot yang luas
Ticket counter
(take a deep breath) Ok, let's start hiking! fighting! go go! 💪
Amazing! Even nafas pon dah tercungap cungap tapi bila nampak view ni, hilang penat lelah (sambil kesat peluh)
Orang tu kemain steady je sampai atas. Sis pulak rasa macam nak putus nyawa 😂
Bukti sis dah sampai the top of Seongsan illchubong. Yeayyyy (thank you husband sebab tolong psiko i along the journey)
💗 In Jeju Island, there is a community of women, some aged in their 80s, which goes diving 10m under the sea to gather shellfish, such as abalone or sea urchins for a living without the help of oxygen masks. With knowledge of the sea and marine life, the Jeju haenyeo (female divers) harvest for up to seven hours a day, 90 days of the year holding their breath for just one minute for every dive and making a unique verbal sound when resurfacing. (Source from UNESCO)
Agak lama jugak spend masa dekat sini.
Sis mintak husband dukung masa nak turun tu, nak acah2 romantik la sikit. Husabnd sis cakap jangan nak terpengaruh sangat dengan drama korea tu. OK, FINE..
Macam nak bawak lari je sebakul balik hotel. hahaha
Souvenier juga ada dijual
Boleh teka tak bentuk apa sebenarnya batu2 ni? (siapa teka betul sis belanja cekelat) 😂
Balik hotel untuk ambil kereta dan continue to next location
2. UDO ISLAND - 20 mins by ferry
Seongsan Port (+82-64-782-5671). 5 mins from co-op city hotel
Before beli tiket di kaunter, korang kena isi boarding report dulu
Sila buat 2 copy untuk pergi dan balik
Staff dekat kaunter tiket ni tak pandai speaking english. Pepandailah borak nanti 😅
Let's goooo!
Kalau rasa ringan tangan nak bagi makan burung seagull ni, korang boleh naik level atas sekali. Memang best tapi kena tahan sejuk sikit laa
Kalau malas tu lepak bawah ni je. Crowded jugak la tapi
Welcome to beautiful U-DO
💗 Situated off the eastern coast of Jeju Island, Udo Island was named because it resembles a lying cow. It boasts fertile soil, abundant schools of fish, and scenic sights; local heritages (female divers, stone walls, and stone tombs) as well as natural attractions abound on the island, making it a miniature of Jeju Island. The island is also full of amenities and tourism outlets: fishing, bike trails, sand massages, submarine tours and cruises. [Source: VisitKorea Webpage]
Safely arrived! Of course tak free. Everything is money lorrr
Tapi ingat, sejuk dia bukan biasa2 keh. Tambah2 tepi laut gini. 2 hari pon tak habis kalau nak pusing satu pulau kot 😆
Sis pilih motor roda tiga ni. Nak naik ni kena ada lesen eh (guna international driving license korang tu) Dorang akan ajar cara nak bawak nanti. Hati2 la ride, takut silap hari bulan masuk laut
Lighthouse
Pulau ni memang serious cantik weh. Kejap2 nak berhenti tepi sebab nampak view yang lawa. Sebab tu kami tak habis pusing satu pulau pon. hahaha
So, even sejuk gedik2 pon kena try kalau dah sampai. Nanti menyesal
Taraaaa! Sedap tu memang sedap. Tapi nak menikmati kesedapan sambil melawan kesejukan memang speechless. Rasa nak tampar2 pipi husband. hahaha
3. SEOPJIKOJI (+82-64-782-0032) - 30 mins from seongsan port
Now, we are heading to another location iaitu Seopjikoji.
💗 Seopjikoji is located at the end of the eastern shore of Jeju Island and boasts a fantastic scenery especially in April when yellow canola flowers are in full bloom. "Seopji" is the old name for the area, and "Koji" is Jeju dialect meaning a sudden bump on land. On top of the hill stands Hyeopja Beacon Fire Station, reaching 4 meters in height with a width and length of 9 meters. Seopjikoji was the filming site of "Gingko Bed," "The Uprising," "One Thousand and One Nights" and other Korean TV dramas. Nearby attractions include Jeju Folk Village and Udo Island. No entrance fee
Walaupun belum masuk spring, tapi bunga canola dah start bloom dengan meriah
Cantik gila wehh
Boleh nampak Seongsan ilchubong dekat belakang tuu
Sekejap je kami lepak sini. Dah puas tengok bunga, gerak ke lokasi lain pulak. Tak boleh nak buang masa sangat sebab hari dah petang. Takut schedule jadi huru hara pulak kang.
4. SANGUMBURI CRATER (+82-64-783-9900) - 25 mins from seopjikoji
Ada entrance fee
💗 Sangumburi (산굼부리) is a crater with a circumference of over 2 km, and has been designated as a Natural Monument. It is located on the southeast side of Jeju-si, and is a flat crater, about 650 meters wide, 100 meters deep, and 2,070 meters in circumference. If you look at the crater from above up, it looks like a man-made circular stadium. There is a variety of plant-life in the crater. On the north side, Nandaeseong vegetation such as red-thorn trees, and magnolia trees grow, along with the rare winter strawberries. On the south side of the crater, Ondaerim vegetation such as evergreens, maples, and mountain strawberry trees cover the area. Because so many different kinds of trees and plants grow in such a limited space, it attracts the attention of researchers as well. [Source: VisitKorea Webpage]
Pokok lalang belakang rumah kau mungkin tak lawa, tapi sini memang cantik gila wehh. Dah macam ladang gandum dah rupanya
Agak2 apa yang sis tengah pikirkan ni? Haaaaaa.. 😆
Amboii bang. Laju berjalan. Lupa wife dekat belakang ke. Hmmm..
Banyak port menarik untuk bergambar. Sila standby photographer yang tahan sabar. hahaha
