Participants in the ‘Adopt a Tree’ project planting the saplings at Khazanah Rimba, Pantai Eco Park in Pantai Dalam.PETALING JAYA: Indah Water Konsortium Sdn Bhd (IWK) is playing its part on nature conservation and bringing more greenery to the urban environment by planting 200 trees in a recent project.
Forty children from Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim dan Asnaf Qaseh and local residents joined IWK staff and Malaysian Nature Society members in the project.IWK chief executive officer Narendran Maniam expressed his joy at bringing participants from the industry, NGOs and the local community together to preserve the environment.
The public may support the project by donating RM140 to have a tree planted.IWK first partnered with MNS in 2020, launching the “Adopt a Tree” campaign, which has so far seen 400 trees planted at Khazanah Rimba, Pantai Eco Park.|
