RANTAU POLLS | Pakatan Harapan candidate for the Rantau by-election, Dr S Streram, has asked his BN rival Mohamad Hasan to respond to allegations in the social media that he owns a luxury residence in Seremban
This came after the former Negeri Sembilan menteri besar said that he was sad when told to leave the menteri besar's residence after BN lost the last general election
The property in question is a house in Saujana Duta in Seremban 2 (photo, below), said to be worth about RM6 million, which is designed with a "Minangkabau-style" roof

In response, Mohamad said yesterday that he was only without a home, but not broke, after his electoral loss

"As a man, as a father, a husband, I felt very sad. I didn't know where to take my family. By right I should have one place in Seremban," Mohamad told a press conference in Rantau yesterday
Negeri Sembilan state assembly speaker Zulkefly Mohamad Omar had recently revived Mohamad's London apartment purchase issue in 2008, on the campaign trail
Mohamad, who had been previously probed over the transfer made through a money changer, has denied any wrongdoing
The Attorney-General's Chambers under the BN government did not take any action against Mohamad, saying the RM10 million was not a product of corruption. - Mkini
