High Voltage High Speed Utility Giant Tnb Makes Rtd S Fast And Furious List Of Shame

TENAGA Nasional Bhd (TNB), the country’s national power utility, has been named among the top 10 companies with the highest number of outstanding speeding summonses involving goods vehicles.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook disclosed the figures in a written parliamentary reply by citing data from the Road Transport Department (RTD) under a “name and shame” initiative targeting companies with poor compliance records.
The policy – carried out jointly by the RTD and the Land Public Transport Agency – aims to curb road accidents involving heavy vehicles.
According to the data, state-linked TNB ranked fourth on the list with 57 active speeding summonses as of Oct 8.

The top spot went to SPT Power Transport Services with 114 summonses, followed by Tiong Soon Trading & Transport Sdn Bhd (88) and Visions Transport Enterprise Sdn Bhd (65).
Other companies in the list included E2S Logistics Sdn Bhd (56), Securiforce Sdn Bhd (53), Chan Soon Transport & Trading Sdn Bhd (47), GD Fit International (M) Sdn Bhd (46), Jimat Jaya Sdn Bhd (37) and SBS Teguh Impian (M) Sdn Bhd (37).

The ministry’s crackdown also extends to bus operators. GJG Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd topped the chart with 271 active speeding summonses, followed by Cepat Ekspres Sdn Bhd (198) and AC Interstate Coach (M) Sdn Bhd (185).
Loke said enforcement measures go beyond public disclosure, covering the installation of mandatory speed limiters, periodic joint operations, and compliance audits involving high-risk operators.
The ministry is also monitoring computerised vehicle inspection outfit PUSPAKOM’s standards to ensure vehicle roadworthiness is not compromised.
Loke who is also the Seremban MP added that enforcement agencies continue to act against overloaded vehicles and drivers found under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In serious cases, authorities may suspend or revoke operating licences and vehicle permits.
The information was provided in response to a query from DAP’s Rasah MP Cha Kee Chin who had asked for the names of companies with the most speeding summonses issued since June 25. – Focus Malaysia
