Hadi Calls Out Govts That Helped Palestinians Escape Gaza

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang has called out governments that had facilitated Palestinians who wished to escape Gaza.
In his latest “Minda Presiden” article, Hadi did not name the governments involved but described them as "followers of Israel and Western agenda”.
He also regarded Palestinians who flee their home country as being unprincipled.
"Palestinians who support the Hamas group continue to hold out in Gaza despite all-out attacks (by the Israeli Zionist regime), which had caused many to die as martyrs.
"They refused to leave the under-siege Palestine and Gaza despite certain parties having offered them opportunities to get out and save themselves.
"Only those who are unprincipled would leave Palestine and Gaza. Several countries that follow the Israel and Western agenda facilitated these people who wanted to run away instead of helping the 'jihad' (struggle) that requires them (Palestinians) to hold out at the holy land," he said in the article, published on his Facebook page.
The PAS president also criticised countries that support the two-state solution for Israel and Palestine, including the Malaysian government led by Pakatan Harapan.
In his write-up, Hadi said PAS took the same position as several other Islamic countries and groups that reject the proposed solution as it divides up the land that belongs to Palestinians.
For the record, while Hadi only panned the Harapan-led administration over the stand, the position to support the two-state solution had been adopted by Malaysia by previous administrations.
This included in 2021 when the Perikatan Nasional led the country, and PAS was a part of the federal government.
No issue for women and children
Earlier this month, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim reportedly helped the family of human rights activist Muhammad Nadir Al-Nuri to leave Gaza and return to Malaysia.
According to Sinar Harian reports, Nadir's Palestinian wife and children had been holding up in Gaza for about six months since the war between Israel and Gaza started in October.
His family initially planned to continue staying in Gaza despite facing tough times but eventually decided otherwise after Nadir's youngest child suffered breathing complications.
Nadir, who is the CEO of Cinta Gaza Malaysia humanitarian organisation, reportedly told Sinar Harian that he has checked with religious scholars in Palestine and Malaysia on whether it is permitted in Islam for his wife and children to leave the battleground during war.
"Insya-Allah there is no issue for women and children to leave as long as they plan to return (to Palestine) when the situation permits.
"We leave it to God's will, this struggle will not stop but will go on even when we are not physically there," he was quoted as saying. - Mkini
