Frustrated Vendor Of The Mykiosk Project Cries Foul Defends Ministry On Fairness Integrity

A SUPPLIER for the MyKiosk project, @AbdullahSazili of A.D Prima Ventures, expressed frustration on X after his company was used to criticise the government.
He clarified his role as a supplier, uninvolved in tenders or ministerial talks.
“I understand you want to hold the government accountable, but don’t use my company and project as your medium. I’m just a supplier, not involved in tenders, ministerial negotiations, or anything else,” he stated in the post while expressing his disagreement over the criticism online.
Addressing claims that a MyKiosk unit costs RM12,500–RM16,000, he stated the KPKT ceiling price is RM25,000, though tender prices can drop to RM19,000 with a 30% contractor margin.
He emphasised the project’s integrity, noting no interference from KPKT or PBTs, with procurement handled transparently by PBTs.

A total of 349 and 446 contractors were appointed by 114 and 96 PBTs for MyKiosk 1.0 and its implementation, respectively.
“This project, the funds are indeed from KPKT. The approved price is RM25,000. But tender prices have dropped to as low as RM19,000. The standard contractor profit margin is around 30%, because the capital comes from the contractor too. Throughout my work on this project, there has never been any unfair interference from the ministry or councils. The bill of quantities is clear, no favoritism, no absurd specifications,” he said.
Regarding the integrity of the process, he explained that throughout the project’s implementation, there was no improper interference from the ministry or local authorities (PBT).

Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming announced that the MyKiosk project enables traders, including single mothers and B40 groups, to earn up to RM30,000 monthly.
This KPKT initiative supports unlicensed roadside hawkers by providing kiosks in strategic locations through 156 local authorities (PBTs) nationwide.
As of December 2024, 7,243 MyKiosk units have been approved, benefiting over 7,000 families. Nga emphasised that PBTs must ensure all 7,000 kiosks are fully occupied and equipped with solar energy.
He dismissed opposition claims of the project being a ‘white elephant,’ highlighting its role in boosting local economies. — Focus Malaysia
