Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah added that of the 371 local cases, 18 were from the Tembok cluster in Kedah, Benteng LD cluster in Sabah, and Remand Prison cluster in Penang. These make up 4.8 percent of today’s cases.

“All cases in these clusters are isolated in administratively enforced enhanced movement control order areas and in prison. This means they are isolated from the community-at-large,” he said in a video address from home quarantine.

Another 50 cases were attributed to other clusters, and 303 cases were detected in the community.
In addition, 18 out of 371 local cases involved travellers returning from Sabah, bringing the total of such cases to 371 since Sept 20.
