Fired Up Blogger Will Not Be Silenced Despite Umno Sacking
Sacked Umno leader Zaharin Mohd Yasin will not be silenced by his removal from the party, calling the move a source of motivation instead.
The blogger said he will continue exposing and voicing out against the wrongdoings in Umno and the missteps of its leaders.
"I note the remark by Umno secretary-general Ahmad Maslan that I have been sacked. But I believe in this context, the term sacking does not apply as I did not receive any show-cause letters, nor was I presented before the disciplinary board.
"In fact, the Bandar Tun Razak Umno never decided (to do so), nor lodged a formal complaint proposing disciplinary action against me," the former secretary of the division said in a statement today.
Last night, Ahmad announced Zaharin’s termination from the party with immediate effect for violating party ethics.
For the record, Zaharin (above) is a blogger known for his critical stance against the party's leadership, especially Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi‘It’s Zahid’s personal agenda’
Zaharin alleged that his sacking was the personal agenda of Zahid and his 'court cluster'.
"It is to silence me and tie my hands from writing about the evils of the party president, who is responsible for 'robbing' and accepting bribes amounting to millions of ringgit for his self-interest.
"But no, I will not be silenced, just because I have been sacked from the party. In fact, this (sacking) has fired up my resolve to instigate Malaysians of all races to reject BN/Umno under the leadership of a robber," Zaharin said without mincing words.
He added that he will not appeal against the sacking, which is his third.
"I would like to instead thank the Umno supreme council for my removal as a member. This gives me the freedom to write and give opinions." - Mkini
