Indian Motorcycle has just pulled the covers off what is possibly the spiciest version of the Indian FTR yet. Based on the top-of-the-line FTR R Carbon, the 2024 Indian FTR x 100% R Carbon is a limited edition collaboration with the action sports brand, 100%. And it looks fresh as hell.
If you don’t know 100%, they’re a mega eyewear, protective gear, and apparel company based in the USA. Their roots are firmly in motocross—hence the Indian FTR x 100% R Carbon’s sharp livery and striking colors.

We loved the first iteration of the FTR when Indian launched it. At the time, it was the closest thing to a factory street tracker you could get, sporting 19F/18R wheels and a comfy upright riding position. Indian has since realized that no-one’s going to race the FTR on a dirt track, so they re-specced it a while ago with 17” wheels.
It still has its burly trellis frame and sharp silhouette, and it sports modern amenities like LED lighting and a 4” touchscreen dash with a smorgasbord of connectivity features. It’s more pseudo-retro roadster than flat track throwback now, and we’re perfectly OK with that.

Indian’s 2024 FTR range features the base model FTR, the upgraded FTR Sport, and the top-of-the-line FTR R Carbon. As implied by the name, the FTR R Carbon takes the popular 1,203 cc FTR roadster, wraps it in swathes of carbon fiber, and adds a couple of tasty hop-up parts. But the Indian FTR x 100% R Carbon dials it up to 11.
You get everything that the FTR R Carbon comes with, except it’s now wrapped in a radical candy blue livery. The blue-over-carbon paint adorns the front fender, headlight nacelle, tank covers, and seat cowl. White and red Indian and 100% branding sit on the tank, with a row of logos on the tail cowl celebrating the bike’s parts spec.

There’s contrast stitching on the seat, and the trellis frame now wears a white coat to contrast the bodywork’s deep glossy paint. Subtle red accents on the wheels and belly pan add extra detail.
There’s also a smorgasbord of carbon fiber trim pieces, including everything from engine covers to a full carbon chain guard. The bar-end weights, oil cap, and radiator cap are all swanky Gilles Tooling parts.

The FTR R Carbon comes specced with adjustable Öhlins suspension at both ends, so that carries over to the 100% edition. Except here, the suspension is completely blacked-out to match the overall vibe. You also get a titanium Akrapovič exhaust system, capped off with a pair of blacked-out mufflers.
Under the hood lies the FTR’s 120 hp / 118 Nm liquid-cooled V-twin motor and six-speed transmission, with radially-mounted Brembo brakes handling stopping duties. (And yes, it still weighs over 480 lbs.)

If the Indian FTR x 100% R Carbon tickles your fancy (and if you can get the name right when you place your order), you’ll need to pay $18,999 (in the US) for the privilege. That gets you a free pair of 100% sunglasses too, and there’s an extensive apparel collection to accompany the bike’s launch, if you want to go the whole hog.
You better hustle though—the FTR x 100% R Carbon is already shipping to dealers, and Indian is only producing 400 units (150 for the US, and 250 for the rest of the world).

Eye-watering price aside, we certainly wouldn’t mind being seen on the the FTR x 100% R Carbon. There’s a trend towards more modern, race-inspired liveries on custom motorcycles right now—and if a major OEM wants to apply that thinking to a factory bike, we’re here for it.
