Driver Criticises Blockade Of Vehicles Not Realising Their Crucial Safety Role

IT IS not everyday drivers encounter a screen formed from heavy vehicles on the highway. Perhaps there is a good reason for it?
A netizen has since taken to TikTok to lament about a collective of trucks that seemed to move at an excruciatingly slow pace, blocking off the entire road.

According to her, she couldn’t cut them in time, and was forced to stay behind. The netizen went on to ask about their function, resulting in a resounding rebuke from the online community.

Syamil Azizan Official said she should be grateful she couldn’t cut them as she might become a dead body at the front.

Another netizen clarified that those were shadow vehicles. Their task was to slow down or stop the flow of traffic on the highway.
This is to ensure that the workers about one to two kilometres to the front are able to remove the pieces or place super cones to close off the road safely.
Wild Orchid added that not many may know about the shadow vehicles as they have not been explained during driving class.
Then there was another netizen who said she should be allowed to cut across these vehicles to learn a lesson.
On another note, netizen saiful shared his experience in Ipoh, Perak, where he was blocked off by these shadow vehicles. He said it was alright as there is air conditioning in the car.

Another netizen shared that it once happened to him during the night on the highway. 
“Suddenly we had to slow down on the road and stop for a while. So everyone was lining up from the tol and along the highway. It takes around 20 minutes to settle down and I was right behind the lorry,” he said.
This is not the first time people have taken to the cyberspace to rage about these shadow vehicles, thinking that they are just there to make people’s life miserable.
