KATA LOGIKA - Mantan PM Malaysia Dr Mahathir Mohamad ungkap orang Melayu bodoh karena ustadz.

Para ustadz buat orang Melayu bodoh, kata Mahathir. Diungkap dalam diskusi berjudul "Perpaduan" di Channel Inspirasi (13/9).

Kata Mahathir para ustadz justru buat orang Melayu terbelakang dan bodoh, "Karena menentang kemajuan," tegasnya kesal.

Melalui ceramah, kata Mahathir, para ustadz buat orang melayu bodoh cara berpikir, "Orang melayu dibuat sibuk pikir akhirat," ungkapnya.

Cara pikir ini, buat orang melayu bodoh, "Hidupnya hanya soal akhirat. Malas berusaha untuk raih hidup lebih baik," ucap Mahathir.

Menurut Mahathir para ustadz sebenarnya orang gagal, "Mereka tak bisa kerja selain ceramah," ucapnya, tak mampu bisnis atau berniaga.

Ustadz, kata Mahathir, selalu ingatkan kematian dan akhirat, "Dia tak dorong orang untuk perbaiki hidup di dunia," tegas dia.

"Orang melayu jadi malas dan bodoh dibuat ustadz," tegas Mahathir menilai.

Ia contohkan. Orang melayu selalu ingin jadi pegawai pemerintah, "Ini pekerjaan mudah. Dia malas, gaji datang tiap bulan tanpa susah payah".

"Beda dengan orang bukan melayu," ungkap Mahathir.

Mereka pilih jadi pedagang atau bisnis perniagaan, "Mereka bisa sangat maju. Banyak dari mereka jadi jutawan," ucapnya

Mahathir pun nilai mental orang melayu semakin merosot.

"Saya lihat banyak orang melayu tak lagi pakai kopiah hitam. Tapi pakai kopiah putih. Apa karena ingin disebut lebih sholeh?" sindir dia.

Bagi Mahathir, pikiran soal akhirat terus menerus terbukti buat orang melayu bodoh.

"Kita justru dilemahkan dengan cara pikir ustadz. Kita kalah bersaing kuasai dunia," terang dia.

KATA LOGIKA  - Former Malaysian PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad said that Malays are stupid because of ustadz.

The ustadz make Malays stupid, said Mahathir. Revealed in a discussion entitled "Unity" on Channel Inspirasi (13/9).

Mahathir said the ustadz actually make the Malays backward and stupid, "Because they are against progress," he said angrily.

Through ceramah, said Mahathir, the ustadz make Malays stupid in their way of thinking, "Malays are made busy thinking about the afterlife," he said.

This way of thinking makes Malays stupid, "Life is only a matter of the afterlife. It's lazy to try to achieve a better life," said Mahathir.

According to Mahathir, the ustadz are actually failures, "They can't work other than lectures," he said, unable to do business or trade.

Ustadz, said Mahathir, always reminds us of death and the afterlife, "He does not encourage people to improve their lives in the world," he stressed.

"Malays become lazy and stupid to be ustadz," emphasized Mahathir

It exemplifies. Malays always want to be government officials, "This is an easy job. He is lazy, the salary comes every month without any effort".

"It's different for non-Malays," said Mahathir.  They choose to be merchants or businessmen, "They can be very advanced. Many of them become millionaires," he said.

Even Mahathir's mental value of the Malays is deteriorating.

"I see many Malays no longer wear black hats. They wear white hats. Is it because they want to be called more pious?" he quipped.

For Mahathir, the thought of the afterlife continuously proved to be stupid for the Malays.

"We are actually weakened by the way ustadz thinks. We lose the competition to dominate the world," he explained.

The discussion was presented by Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Prof Datuk Dr Teo Kok Seong. Guided by moderator Fazli Mohammad. They commented on the development of Malays in Malaysia.
