Dap Still Does Not Understand Islam
DAP loves talking about extremist Islam, liberal Islam, moderate Islam, PAS-brand of Islam, Umno-brand of Islam, Taliban Islam, and so on. That is like saying someone is 100% a virgin, 10% virgin, 20% virgin, 50% virgin, 100% NOT a virgin, etc. Either you are a virgin, or you are not a virgin. 100% a virgin or 100% NOT a virgin. Period.
NO HOLDS BARRED
Raja Petra Kamarudin
When DAP’s Ronnie Liu said Islam only forbids Muslims from drinking but does not forbid Muslims from selling, serving, handling, profiteering, etc., from liquor, it shows DAP people do not understand Islam but talk as if they are graduates of Islamic studies.
That’s like saying the law only forbids murder but does not forbid you from plotting a murder, ordering a murder, supplying the weapon to commit a murder, profiteering from a murder, etc. Just so long as you do not personally pull the trigger it is okay. You can pin down the person about to be murdered while someone else commits the murder.
Liew Chin Tong’s statement (READ BELOW) is another example of how non-Muslims do not understand the mindset of Muslims.
There is no such thing as PAS BRAND OF RELIGIOUS POLITICS. Islam is not just a religion but an adeen or way of life. Even Anwar Ibrahim has said so many times. Islam is not about praying or rituals. It is about establishing a complete system that includes political, economic, justice, administration, and military.
POLITICAL ISLAM is real and exists. You cannot separate Islam from politics. Islam IS politics. Prophet Muhammad did not preach a religion. Prophet Muhammad propagated the setting up of an Islamic State.
It is mandatory for Muslims to believe in the Qur’an, Hadith and Sunnah. That means Muslims must emulate the Prophet. To accept, say, just the Qur’an, but reject the Hadith and Sunnah, would mean you reject Islam. Any primary school student can tell you that.
Secularism is not allowed in Islam. In fact, it is not allowed in Judaism and Christianity as well. The fact that Jews and Christians are secularists does not mean they are right. It is just like Christians accepting same sex marriages. That does not mean the Bible allows it.
Period.
Islam is the same. Either you are a Muslim, or you are fasiq, munafiq, murtad, kafir, and whatnot. There is no half-boil-eggs in Islam. So DAP needs to stop saying that half-baked Muslims are good whereas true Muslims are bad. There is nothing in the Qur’an that says that.

PAS struggling to hold on to political brand in Perikatan, says DAP’s Chin Tong
(MMO) – PAS is facing a brand identity crisis in its political alliance with Bersatu in their Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition, according to DAP strategist Liew Chin Tong.
The Opposition politician said the conservative Islamist party is struggling to uphold its brand of religious politics as it has to contend with the dynamics of PN, handle its position in government and also prepare to face off with Umno again in GE15.
“Being in the federal government means the party cannot burn the house down by championing racial and religious issues in a fiery tone but has to deal with legal constraints, problem solving, and managing daily affairs, none of which are PAS’ strength.
“PAS has lost its marbles as a political brand, ironically at the height of its formal power through its presence in the federal government,” Liew said in his latest blog post today.
The former DAP senator predicts that PAS may win about 10 parliamentary seats in the next general election, and may even lose the state governments of Kelantan and Terengganu to Umno.
“The only way PAS can win sufficient seats to play the ‘kingmaker’ role (Datuk Seri Abdul) Hadi (Awang) has been touting is to minimise contests in the states and areas that PAS is strong in. This makes Bersatu its logical choice as a partner as Bersatu is likely to concede most seats in the Peninsula East Coast to PAS,” he said.
Liew claimed that PAS, having been in office since 1990, is showing signs of decay in Kelantan, its stronghold.
“An important point to note is the fact that PAS won massively in Kelantan and Terengganu in GE14 by adopting Pakatan Harapan’s platforms and campaigning against Najib and Umno.
“Umno is expected to gear up for Kelantan and Terengganu as it has yet to find a formula to win across racial lines in West Coast states,” he said.
Liew predicted that Umno could gain ground in GE15, winning around 65 parliamentary seats in the peninsula.
He said that this victory would not be at Pakatan Harapan’s expense as Umno would be taking away the seats traditionally contested by PAS, in spite of their current partnership under the Muafakat Nasional accord.
