Covid-19 self-test kits can be bought via MySejahtera
MySejahtera users can now purchase Covid-19 self-test kits via the application and update their test results to the Health Ministry.
The new “Covid-19 Self Test” section on the app that was rolled out today features three self-test kits – the Salixium Covid-19 rapid antigen test kit, Gmate Covid-19 Ag saliva for home use and JusChek Covid-19 antigen rapid test.
The section is also directly linked to the Pharma2u e-commerce platform for users to buy the self-test kits.
Under this section, corporate companies can purchase the self-test kits in bulk and request for a medical team from Pharma2u to perform on-site Covid-19 screening for their employees.
On July 23, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba said the three test kits listed on MySejahtera had received conditional approval from the Health Ministry and have been made available in the market.
Checks by the New Straits Times yesterday also found that self-test kits have been flying off the shelves since they were made available at drugstores on July 21.
The latest version of the app also includes an SOS button that enables users to speed-dial the Malaysian Emergency Response Services (MERS) at 999.
The app also has a “Screening Facility” feature that assist users to locate the nearest centre to undergo Covid-19 screening.
Earlier today, the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee (JKJAV), in a tweet, said the latest version of MySejahtera includes a digital consent form for those with first vaccine dose appointments.
Those who have received their first dose vaccine and have signed their consent form manually are not required to fill up this digital form.
The consent form is made available in 14 languages, including Tamil, Arabic, Persian, Hakha, Tedim, Bengali, Urdu, Burmese, Jingpo (Kachin), Karen, Mon, Nepali, Rohingya and Somali.
MySejahtera, in a tweet, said users can access these latest features after closing and reopening the application upon updating it to the latest version.
