Covid 19 Moh Releases Step By Step Home Isolation Guide For Positive Cases In Greater Klang Valley

PETALING JAYA: The Health Ministry has released a step-by-step video guide on how to self-isolate for those who have tested positive for Covid-19 in the Greater Klang Valley.
The ministry said this would make it easier for the healthcare authorities to assist those affected.
"If you have tested positive, you have to isolate yourself at home for 10 days, away from other people in the same house.
"A digital Home Surveillance Order (HSO) will be issued through your MySejahtera application. Make sure you are registered with and have downloaded MySejahtera so that it is easier for us to contact you.
"You have to carry out daily self-checks using the Home Assessment Tool (HAT) in MySejahtera so we can monitor you.
"You will get a text message or a call from the Health Ministry if you do not do your self-assessment," said the ministry in a video posted on Twitter on Sunday (Aug 1).
They also pointed out that self-assessment is important so healthcare authorities can perform follow-up action.
"If you have no symptoms, you may continue to self-assess every day. If you have symptoms or are in the high-risk category, please physically go to the nearest Covid-19 assessment centre (CAC).
"If you face breathing difficulties or need emergency treatment, please go to the nearest hospital.
"Your health status will always be monitored via the virtual CAC and the call centre will contact you if you need attention.
"If you need assistance, you may contact the CAC helpline at 03-77239299 between 8am and 9pm every day.
"For further details, please visit covid-19.moh.gov.my," it said.
On July 26, it was reported that the Greater Klang Valley Special Task Force virtual Covid-19 assessment centres had been activated to ensure an efficient management response.
The Greater Klang Valley region encompasses Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, southern Perak, northern Negri Sembilan and western Pahang.
Special task force commander Datuk Dr Chong Chee Keong then said the new management guidelines take effect immediately and are expected to improve healthcare delivery by streamlining the workflow processes in managing Covid-19 patients.
"The implementation of virtual CACs will decongest physical CACs, improve patient waiting time, and ensure early monitoring of all positive cases.
Dr Chong said all Covid-19 patients in the Greater Klang Valley who are experiencing mild or no symptoms are to undergo home isolation and remote surveillance instead of going to assessment centres.
Close contacts of Covid-19 patients are to self-isolate at home with no need for testing unless symptomatic, he said.
