(Bernama pic)PETALING JAYA: The horror of the rise in Covid-19 deaths hit home when a video clip showing a line of hearses arriving at a Muslim cemetery in Shah Alam went viral today.
It garnered thousands of views in minutes after it was uploaded, with the comments showing that people were horrified.
The clip, uploaded by national news agency Bernama on its social media accounts, shows at least eight hearses entering the Seksyen 21 Muslim cemetery at around 7.40pm.
According to the social media posts, the hearses are believed to be carrying the bodies of Covid-19 patients.
Many netizens voiced their sadness and offered condolences to the families of the deceased.
“Ya Allah, this is so sad,” said one social media user named Maria Yah, while another, Ali Basyeer, prayed for Malaysia to be saved from the pandemic.

The Klang Valley has been hit hard by Covid-19 in recent weeks, recording thousands of new cases each day.
Reports have emerged of hospitals struggling to cope with the surge in cases and a lack of space in hospitals and the increase in the number of deaths.
Today alone, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur reported 68 deaths, more than half of the 110 recorded nationwide.
