Cops Probing Texts Sent To Rafizi S Wife As Criminal Intimidation
The police are tracing the person who sent threatening messages to Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli’s wife, after their 12-year-old son was attacked with a syringe at a mall in Putrajaya.
Sinar Harian reported Selangor police chief Shazeli Kahar as saying that Rafizi had lodged a police report on the incident yesterday.
“Following that, the police will cooperate with several related agencies to trace the owner of the telephone number concerned.
“The investigation for this case is conducted under Section 507 of the Penal Code,” Shazeli said.
ADSSection 507 deals with criminal intimidation by anonymous communication.

Rafizi Ramli during a press conference at Parliament yesterdayIn a press conference in Parliament yesterday, Rafizi said that one of the messages appeared to threaten his son with Aids infection.
“The message read: ‘Diam! Andai teruskan, Aids!’ (Shut up! If you continue, Aids!). The message had three syringe emojis,” Rafizi revealed during the press conference.
“In my view, the strategic message here is: I’m not afraid of being sued, I’ve already been through lock-up, and I don’t care about losing my position.
“So those involved feel it’s easier to influence my decision through my wife,” he said.
The former economy minister said the attack against his son was carried out by two individuals dressed in black and wearing full-face helmets.
He added that his son will have to undergo routine blood tests over the next six months to rule out any long-term effects from the unknown substance. - Mkini
