FINALLY, Zahid Hamidi takes a 'political hybernation' by announcing Tuesday that his deputy Mohamad Hasan will expedite the duty of Umno president with immediate effect. Its indefinitely.

Congratulation to so-called Umno political wallabies Khairy Jamaluddin, Asyraf Wajdi and self-proclaimed 'party's directors' for getting what they've wanted all the while - to see the contitutionally-elected president quits or taking leave amid the court cases orchestrated by Pakatan Harapan government.

KJ, a loser in Umno's presidential election, must be happy enough while Asyraf - who leads the pact of gangsters in Umno Youth - is actually hoping for Zahid to relinquish his position.

Good news for Umno?

I don't think so. What is the guarantee that the 3.5 million Umno members can be rallied better under Tok Mat? Does each and every Youth member in support of Asyraf? Will KJ be able to convince members and pool the together?

Tok Mat will, I believe but not KJ, and not Asyraf, and not some dubbed as 'pain in the ass' in the party. They are either PPBM incliners, PKR supporters and even DAP sympathisers. Will Tok Mat dare to include them in his team knowing that three quarters Umno members are with Zahid and him?

Umno is facing a lot of predicaments now. Will Zahid 'hybernation' augur well for the group of 'political pariah' wanting to dissolve the party in order for PPBM takes over the role of Umno?

There are already factions in Umno now. Knowing Zahid, the support for him is not small. Never underestimate it. He is not chosen to be a party president, he is elected.

What can KJ offer to Umno when he himself must take the blame for failing to entice the youths to join Umno before the last general election? What can people like Asyraf, Khaled Nordin (maybe) gotta offer to keep the party going?

And what is their interest in relating to offer made by PPBM?

I hope we don't see a breakaway party here. I also hope (as Zahid hopes too) there won't be anymore exodus. Still, the boiling question is what is the guarantee? Let's see how KJ and 'his friends' control this situation.

Maybe KJ can get PH to unfreeze Umno's bank accounts. Maybe he thinks he's the best person to lead Umno. Is he that clean anway? The ex-Puteri chief is facing writ summon for wrongdoings, and she is now with PPBM.

Come what may. Umno will brace another sad episode.

By the way, will the 30 MPs (six already accepted into PPBM today) retract their threat to leave Umno? Hehehe... I'll keep my fingers crossed!
