Comment Of The Week By Malaysian Medic
Malaysian Medic said...
Dear Tuan Syed,
Our country has done well with holding off an exponential rise in the number of cases, avoiding the catastrophe of an overwhelmed healthcare service.
Kudos to our public health officials - whom I feel don't receive enough credit.
By tracing the patients, tracking their contacts and doing screening, they have done much good for us all.
But by flattening the curve, as what we are doing, the curve will inevitably be longer.
This buys time for us to get more prepared - and let me tell you as a 'frontliner', this has been our effort for the past few weeks - to face the bigger wave that may come later.
Vaccines may not be arriving very soon, but day by day we get more familiar with managing this disease, only for a better outcome overall.
Cheers

My comments :
Dearest Malaysian Medic, thank you for your reassuring words. Never before in the history of mankind has an entire population of the planet earth (almost EIGHT BILLION people?) owed so much to doctors, nurses and medical practitioners ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
All Malaysians are quietly cheering wildly for your commitment and success to overcoming this virus.
My wish for all of you is please exercise caution at all times when you are handling this Corona Virus. Eat well, get your rest (as much as you can) and please lick this thing as quickly as you can.
We are with you. Our best wishes and regards to you, to your families and to your parents for you being our Frontliners.
Terima kasih banyak.Posted by Syed Akbar Ali
