Budget 2019 Rakyat Are Taken For A Ride

OPPOSITION Leader Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi describes Budget 2019 did not give special attention to addressing the people’s present woes
In a statement, he said the budget was short of finding solutions to overcome the need for jobs, and most important is the issue of bread and butter
Here is his full statement:1. No guidelines to solve the issue of jobless. All are about training. The rakyat were pinning high hopes for announcement on this matter but it didnt materialise. This may take time. The rakyat wants to see immediate actions as to how the government can solve their present woes
2. However, there are goodies for the lower-income bracket in BR1M adjustments but it is not properly elaborated and taken for granted
3. No special announcement for the rakyat in addressing the spiralling cost of living. LGE speech touched too much on health scheme and loose plan on dividends that do not meet their interest
4. There are of course good news for public transport users but the benefit is confined to places with LRT and MRT
5. From where would the government get RM314.5 billion for the budget amid claim that we dont have money and foreign debt amounting to RM1 trillion? What is the fiscal calculation applied
6. Despite some good packages, there was no zooming on how we could attract foreign direct investment to Malaysia. From where will the government register revenue to finance all these
7. Basically its a modification budget of the past government. The guidelines are already there. In general, its short of what was expected by the rakyat
8. This budget is to popularise the government, for the government and not for the people
9. I regret that the government used the Budget speech to give BN a very bad impression, without admitting their own fault and weaknesses
10. Let it be judged by the people, and as to whether their privileges are returned and maintained. Time will tell
