Brain Synchro Returns To Help Underprivileged Underperforming Students Master Modern Maths
THE Brain Synchro programme is back with its SPM 2024 edition as it strives to fulfil its aim to help underprivileged and underperforming students master Modern Mathematics by cultivating their interest in Magic Maths and Modern Mathematics.
The Mental Calculation comprising Magic Maths formulas that were originally based on the Ancient Indian Sciences that has been proven to transform a tedious subject such as Mathematics into a fun and playful subject.
In addition to its ability to attract the students’ interest through a simple presentation of the formulas, it solves the complex calculations in a single lin, without the use of calculator, therefore empowering the cognitive motors skills of the learners including memory and imagination skills.
There was a total of 21 classes comprising nine mental calculations and 12 Modern Mathematics modules.
A total of 12 important topics of Modern Maths were tailored to fit specific students by qualified and experienced teachers including final sprint, empowerment test, mock test and forecast questions based on the past years’ examination papers and hot-spotted questions.
The students were diagnosed at the beginning of the programme with the Brain-Synchro Diagnostic Test before the commencement of the classes.
The programme culminated in the Brain Synchro Competition which was held to assess the understanding and mastery in the subject.
Results found that approximately 88% of the students had improved their scores, which is a testament to the effectiveness of the programme in terms of cultivating the students’ interest in Modern Mathematics.
Prizes and incentives were also presented to the students at the end of the programme. A total of 60 prize winners were honoured while all 300 participants received incentives such as laptop bags, stationaries, certificates and RM30 as a token of appreciation for attending the programme.
Organised in Kuala Lumpur by the Magic Mathematics Organisation (Pertubuhan Magik Matematik) with support from Yayasan Hasanah and Ministry of Finance, the Brain Synchro SPM 2024 saw the enrolment of 300 students from ten locations:
