Bookxcess Online Book Haul
Hello everybody,
How are you? I hope everyone is as fit as a fiddle. I have been meaning to write this post for as long as I can remember but the laziness has beaten me. As bad as it sounds I am trying to beat that out from me by forcing myself to sit in the front of my laptop, open my blog and start typing it out. So, here I am. Let's get it out to the blog world.
Last month, in early September, I managed to buy 6 books from Bookxcess Online. I have been eyeing these books for some time. Now, there are in my hands I am so happy to see it. The books I bought are;
1. Royals by Rachel Hawkins
I have seen this around bookstagram and honestly, don't remember what it is all about but all I know it says that if you are a fan of The Princess Diaries, you'll fall for Royals. That gives the huge reason I want this to be mine.
Here are some short blurbs of the book: Meet Daisy Winters. She’s an offbeat sixteen-year-old Floridian with mermaid-red hair; a part time job at a bootleg Walmart, and a perfect older sister who’s nearly engaged to the Crown Prince of Scotland. Daisy has no desire to live in the spotlight, but relentless tabloid attention forces her to join Ellie at the relative seclusion of the castle across the pond.
2. Love & Gelato (Love & Gelato #1) by Jenna Evans Welch
I saw one of my bookstagram's friend shared this on her Instagram, I'm sold by her wonderful review. The story sounds deliciously great. I'm definitely excited to read this book (it's one of my current read).
Here are the short blurbs: “I made the wrong choice.”
Lina is spending the summer in Tuscany, but she isn’t in the mood for Italy’s famous sunshine and fairy-tale landscape. She’s only there because it was her mother’s dying wish that she get to know her father. But what kind of father isn’t around for sixteen years? All Lina wants to do is go back home.
3. Love & Luck (Love & Gelato #2) by Jenna Evans Welch
A continuation series? or a companion? I'm not sure. But if it is either companion or series. I am sold by the stories so, I bought them.
Here are the short blurbs; And then their travel plans change. Suddenly Addie finds herself on a whirlwind tour of the Emerald Isle, trapped in the world’s smallest vehicle with Ian and his admittedly cute, Irish-accented friend Rowan. As the trio journeys over breathtaking green hills, past countless castles, and through a number of fairy-tale forests, Addie hopes her guidebook will heal not only her broken heart, but also her shattered relationship with her brother.
4. Dating You/ Hating You by Christina Lauren
I saw Hailey in Bookland's Youtube - one of the awesome booktuber that I subscribed to since 4/5 years ago talked about this book and she enjoys it. I was curious and intrigued by the stories. I'm so ecstatic when I saw Bookxcess have them. I put it into my cart right away. No hesitation whatsoever.
Here are the short blurbs; Despite the odds against them from an embarrassing meet-awkward at a mutual friend’s Halloween party, Carter and Evie immediately hit it off. Even the realization that they’re both high-powered agents at competing firms in Hollywood isn’t enough to squash the fire.
But when their two agencies merge—causing the pair to vie for the same position—all bets are off. What could have been a beautiful, blossoming romance turns into an all-out war of sabotage. Carter and Evie are both thirtysomething professionals—so why can’t they act like it?
5. When Dimple Met Rishi (Dimple & Rishi #1) by Sandhya Menon
Okay. Here's the thing I have read her other book; From Twinkle, With Love and Of Curses and Kisses which I am absolutely enjoying her writing so, why not pick this one.
Here are the short blurbs; Dimple Shah has it all figured out. With graduation behind her, she’s more than ready for a break from her family, from Mamma’s inexplicable obsession with her finding the “Ideal Indian Husband.” Ugh. Dimple knows they must respect her principles on some level, though. If they truly believed she needed a husband right now, they wouldn’t have paid for her to attend a summer program for aspiring web developers…right?
6. Saints and Misfits by S.K. Ali
I save the best for last. Saints and Misfits have been in my wishlist since the first time it was published back in 2017. I'm jumping out of joy when I saw this on Bookxcess. So so excited for it to be mine.
Here are the short blurbs; 8 Hours and 5 Minutes
There are three kinds of people in my world:
1. Saints, those special people moving the world forward. Sometimes you glaze over them. Or, at least, I do. They’re in your face so much, you can’t see them, like how you can’t see your nose.
2. Misfits, people who don’t belong. Like me—the way I don’t fit into Dad’s brand-new family or in the leftover one composed of Mom and my older brother, Mama’s-Boy-Muhammad.
