Bersatu Sacks Bankrupt Associate Members Wing Info Chief

Bersatu has sacked its associate member’s wing information chief S Gobi Krishnan today after the Insolvency Department declared he is bankrupt.
The wing’s newly minted chief Chong Fat Full confirmed the matter at a press conference at Perikatan Nasional’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur today.
“I confirm Gobi Krishnan (above) has been sacked as Bersatu associate information chief, and from all his positions in the party with immediate effect.
“The decision is made because he has been confirmed bankrupt by the Insolvency Department,” he said.
Chong said Gobi Krishnan’s status was confirmed through a search on the department’s website, which says Gobi Krishnan was declared bankrupt on Jan 7 last year.
Yesterday, Federal Territories MIC deputy chairperson D Pala Kumaran has urged the Kuala Lumpur City Hall to explain allegations that a bankrupt individual had been appointed to the Excise Licensing Board of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.

Meanwhile, Chong shared that Bersatu is reluctant to see Gobi Krishnan go and lauded him as a dedicated member who is vocal in voicing social and party issues.
Nevertheless, he said the situation has dictated otherwise.
Chong was appointed as Bersatu associate wing chief earlier today, replacing the Segamat MP Edmund Santhara Kumar who resigned from the party post.
The matter was announced by the party’s secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin.
Meanwhile, Nurul Fadzilah Kamaluddin has been appointed as Bersatu Women's chief and Suhainna Jamri as vice-chief. - Mkini
