In 2018, Saudi religious figure endorsed Valentine’s Day for first time Sheikh Ahmed Qasim Al-Ghamdi, former president of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Makkah, announced on TV that celebrating Valentine’s Day does not contradict Islamic teachings, and that celebrating love is not limited to non-Muslims.
Valentine’s Day is celebrated worldwide, much like Mother’s Day, as “a positive aspect of the human being,” he said.

My comments : Saya sudah lama faham tak kristian pun sambut Valentine's Day. 

Macam kita rehat pada hari Ahad juga (Sunday). Pada zaman silam Sunday itu hari orang Kristian pergi sembahyang di gereja. Maka budaya Barat declare hari Ahad hari cuti untuk menghormati sembahyang di gereja. Ada sangkut paut dengan agama Kristian mereka. Kita pun cutilah pada hari Ahad. Tetapi bukan maksud kita kristian. Atau kita mengakui hari Ahad (Sunday) hari yang lebih mulia.

Begitu juga Valentine's Day. 
Atau 1hb Januari aka New Year's Day (ikut Kalendar kristian Pope Gregory).
Kita ikut public holiday setiap 1hb Januari.


Saya terlupa pun nak sambut Valentine's Day. Maybe next year kut. 
Kalau wife sudi sugar free Belgian chocolate, saya pun boleh tumpang rasa kut?

Oops . . hampir terlupa nak komen. Sheikh Ahmed Qasim Al-Ghamdi itu adalah Sheikh Besar in charge jabatan moral dan akhlak di Mekah. Itu gambar dia di atas.

Sheikh Salafi Wahabi ini kata its ok kalau nak sambut Valentine's Day.
