April reading wrap up is here! Suka gila sebab ever since aku ada Kindle memang non-stop lah baca buku. Kadang memang ada reading slump datang tapi aku kasi chance sekejap je then terus cepat-cepat pilih next book to read. Hiks. Sekarang aku nak share buku yang aku dah baca pada bulan April.

1. I Owe You One By Sophie Kinsella
Published by Dial Press on 5th February 2019. I love this book! Kelakar but annoying at the same time. This book is mostly about unlucky Fixie Farr yang selalu kena ambil kesempatan oleh orang sekeliling dia. Even she put her family first, both her brother and sister is taking advantage on her. Dengan crush dia sekali buat perangai. Until one day dia jumpa someone and her life change to better even ada up and down jugak lah.

2. When In Doubt, Add Butter By Beth Harbison
Published by St. Martin's Press on 17th July 2012. This book is so-so. Only the first few pages caught my attention and the plot becomes slow and boring yet still exciting.

3. Sadie By Courtney Summers
Published by Wednesday Books on 4th September 2018. It's a dark read due to sexual abuse, wasted mother on drugs and paedophile content. I enjoy reading this book tapi rasa macam gantung sebab motif adik Sadie kena bunuh tak ada kena explain pun. And since buku ni tentang misi pencarian Sadie, sampai ke ending dorang tak jumpa Sadie. Jadi aku pun tertanya-tanya what the heck is actually happened?!

4. After Anna By Lisa Scottoline
Published by St. Martin's Press on 10th April 2018. This book has got me attached! Start baca malam the next day siang dah habis baca dah. Hiks. Crime thriller genre memang cepat la baca sebab curiosity cant wait. I had my expectation and speculation 100% wrong about Anna. Its not a plot twist. It is what it is and the story is well written because I dont get bored. The story plot has keep me going until the end of the chapter.

5. The Right Time By Daniel Steel
Published by Delacorte Press on 29th August 2017. The Right Time by Danielle Steel is definitely my favourite. I love how Alex settle with her life despite what she has been through since she was young. It taught me that things will work out if we are devoted to it and put our soul into something we love doing. And that everything will eventually fall into place at the right time. Well, this book polah aku nangis diawal chapter and part suku dah mok habis. I iz zad. It’s worth reading. ✨

6. Stolen Son By Cole Baxter
Published independently on 16th April 2018. Honestly I regret reading this book. What keeps me going is sebab mok tauk either plot twist or sik. Sadly no. The author really revealed the bad guy way too early and way too obvious. Baca first chapter jak dah tauk sapa jaik. Predictable but still intriguing

7. The Undomestic Goddess By Sophie Kinsella
Published by Dial Press Trade Paperback on 25th April 2006. Not really enjoying this book sebab rasa macam slow gilak. But still worth reading since there’s valuable input once dah habis baca.The book teaches us to make a decision based on what makes ourselves happy rather than being influenced by others. And that we don't need any validation from anyone else on how to live our life. Yes, people listen to your rants. They stick with you if you’re on top of the world. But they won't really give a damn if your ship is heading the wrong way and start sinking, no? Well, that is what happened to Samantha. Nasiblah ada knight in shining armour as penyeri dalam cerita tok and I actually visualize Channing Tatum nok pegang character ya.

8. Then She Was Gone By Lisa Jewell
Published by Atria Books on 17th April 2018. Im dying to know what is relate to what as i go through this book. Why Floyd approached Laurel, why Poppy resembles Ellie; Laurel’s golden daughter who was gone with no trace when she was 15 years old, why Noelle is so obsessive and all that. Only after 10 years they discovered something about Ellie’s disappearance and its an absolute heart-breaking. 💔 The plot is intriguing but foreseeable and it takes you into the world of desperate mother looking for her daughter and into the mind of psychopath. A fiction book but the fact that how human life can be so cheap to some people is happening in real life. For the sake of their own satisfaction and vengeance, the innocent one yang jadi mangsa. Real shitz.

9. Silent Victim By Caroline MitchellPublished by Thomas and Mercer on 1st March 2018. Another gripping psychological thriller. Its tense enough to follow Emma’s journey on this book as she’s trying to cope with her bulimia, dealing with her broken family and escape herself from a man who prey on a naive young girl like her. Luke is an expert manipulator and Emma just made a mistake during her teen years that she has to deal with the crazy consequences up to her present life. Yalah orang padah jangan bersinta dengan orang sebarang even rasa desperate gilak. Tengok apa dah jadiiii. I would say its a dark read. There’s a trigger warning for those who has eating disorder. The book is written in multiple POV but sik memeningkan. Twisty page turner and not even a single page will bore you. My favourite part in this book is Emma’s husband. He knows about her starving-binging-purging cycle, her anxiety and even her darkest secret, yet he stays with her till the end. Though its hard to believe what his wife confessed to him, and that every time he wanted to leave Emma alone because of her past, he reminds himself that the day he took the vows as her husband, he shall stay through thick and thin with her no matter what happens.
